okay guys this is it. how was this the first time i had been here. definitely coming back as a miracle had happened. first off, the service is super duper friendly. second, i ordered a spicy jeyuk (pork) stirfry bowl with rice noodles. im usually super picky and dislike veggies such as cabbage, onions, blah blah blah you name it but I didn't wanna seem fussy and remove ingredients so I mentally muscled my way through my order. they did give it to me with rice instead but i don't care. that may have been a smart decision. this was the first time in my life i think I've eaten red cabbage. shut up i know im a picky little kid but Miss Kangsta has changed that for me, fr. i ate the whole lot because it was super tasty and no textures threw me off and it seemed like a small portion but it was SUPER filling. fair price. love ❤️

Ordered a halloumi salad to takeaway for $14.50. There was a generous portion of mixed leaves like tatsoi, dandelion greens, purple cabbage, carrots and alfalfa sprouts. The halloumi was delicious and balanced the light salad well. It was dressed in basil oil and balsamic vinegar, with sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, adding extra flavour and crunch. It could have done with something more filling as well - maybe some beans, grains or avocado? Otherwise a fresh salad with quality ingredients.

Wellington Restaurant Recommendation! The gluten-free options are so light and comforting, and the Korean dishes are incredibly delicious! The stir-fried spicy pork (jeyuk bokkeum) is absolutely the best. The owner is super friendly, and I always leave with great energy. Thank you so much! And this is a hidden gem for coffee lovers! Make sure to try their coffee as well!

We first discovered Miss Kangsta two years ago during a visit to Wellington, and it immediately became one of our favorite spots. We loved everything about it then – the food, the atmosphere, the warm welcome – so when we came back to the city, it was at the top of our list. And somehow, it was even better this time around.

The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is full of bold, authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly made with love. It’s the kind of food that makes you slow down to savor every bite. Whether you're a Korean food aficionado or trying it for the first time, you’re in for a treat. The place is also completely gluten free so if you’re coeliac like us you can go there safely.

The owner is genuinely one of the nicest people you’ll meet – friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do. It adds a personal, welcoming touch that makes the whole experience feel special.

And let’s not forget the décor – it’s stylish, vibrant, and perfectly captures the energy of the place. Every detail feels thoughtfully put together, creating an ambiance that’s both cozy and cool.

If you're in Wellington, do not miss Miss Kangsta. It’s rare to find a place that leaves such a lasting impression, and we can't wait to...

I'm not from Wellington fabulous place to eat we were able to go twice and will definitely go again when next in Wellies. Great price, quick service, friendly especially when I kept mucking up my cards had to transfer extra funds from one account to the other before I could pay and used the wrong card the second time he was all good about it both times and waited patiently with a genuine smile. We had Popcorn Chicken w rice and salad x3, Doobu, Daxgalbi [not sure if I've spelt this correct as I'm going on my memory] and Vege & Kimchi Mandu absolutely delicious. I feel I have to add this, there must be some sort of medicinal benefits in the food, because I suffered an accident in January and from that time until Tuesday 26th May [at the time we ate] the pain was excruciating my GP limited my pain relief because I have one kidney so the pain would still be present everyday. After eating this food the pain was drastically reduced, please don't say it was because it was gluten free, I am already using gluten free products and therefore my belief it is the food on that basis alone I will definitely be going back to Kangsta Korean Restaurant. Thank...

We originally stopped by for lunch. However, even though their hours stated an opening time of 10:30 AM, nobody was there, so we ended up going somewhere else as this place is located inside of a food hall with many other vendors.

We ended up coming back the same day for dinner, and the food was pretty good and made fresh to order. The prices were a little high, and our 2 plates came out to a little over $40 NZD. Everything is gluten free though so it's a great place with anyone that has gluten as a dietary restriction.

Don't forget to bring cash, especially if you're not from NZ! They do not accept paywave or credit cards, so luckily, I had enough cash to cover our meal! That was a major inconvenience, especially given the average price of their meals. All the other vendors in the food hall accepted credit cards for purchases...
