Let me start by saying the food is 5 star, I’m hoping the 1 will get the owners attention to address the terrible service that has let the chefs down! Our order and drinks arrived promptly and the food was delicious. After our main was served we were promptly forgotten. There were plenty of wait staff but none came to check on us or even offer another drink which became empty half way through the mains. We had to wave down a waitress after 10 mins of finishing our meals to clear our empty plates. In the meantime we watched as a table of 4 left after being seated and no one came to serve them. Again after 15 mins after our table had been cleared we had to wave down another waitress to ask for the dessert menu. The unimpressed and indignant attitude of the waitress was made known as she trotted off to get the menu. When she came back, she placed the menus down and promptly went to walk away but I called her back as to avoid another wait time! We placed our order and after 40 minutes of waiting, decided it was time to leave. Not one person came to us in that time to check on us, they were too busy packing up.! As a Service Manager myself, I found this lack of care, I attention and management of the patrons absolutely awful and a real disservice to the quality of the restaurant. Every interaction counts and I am sure there are likeminded people out there that would be grateful to have a job at a quality restaurant. Sadly those on the frontline currently should not be there. Best wishes for...

The overall ambiance of the place was undoubtedly delightful, complemented by a menu featuring a variety of delicious dishes that promised a memorable dining experience. However, our anticipation was met with an unexpected twist as one of the waiters inadvertently switched our designated number plates while we were in the process of placing our food orders.

This seemingly minor mishap resulted in a cascade of inconveniences, leading to delays in the timely arrival of both our much-anticipated coffee and delectable meals. Unfortunately, the situation was further exacerbated by a noticeable lack of a comprehensive explanation and heartfelt apologies, leaving us somewhat disheartened and longing for a more seamless experience.

Amidst the challenges, a silver lining emerged in the form of the manager, whose amiable and understanding demeanor stood out during our subsequent conversation. The manager's willingness to engage and address our concerns added a positive dimension to an otherwise challenging encounter, showcasing a commitment to customer satisfaction.

While the hiccup in service was undoubtedly a disappointment, the gracious response from the manager served as a redeeming factor. It underscores the importance of effective communication and customer-centric approaches in handling unforeseen situations. Here's hoping that future patrons encounter a more flawless and enjoyable dining experience, where the culinary delights are seamlessly accompanied by...

After our Rail Creek trip, we decided to grab lunch and stumbled upon this gem with an incredible ambiance and stunning interior design.

Our orders were delightful for the most part:

  1. Prawns: Freshly made with butter, the prawns were a burst of flavor and texture. Squeezing the small lemon wedge over them elevated the taste even more.

  2. Chips: Crispy and perfectly seasoned, these chips were a hit, especially with my mom.

However, the pulled pork tacos left much to be desired. The meat portion was scanty, overshadowed by an abundance of soggy, cold vegetables. It felt like they had been prepped and stored in the fridge for too long. The excessive sauce made the whole dish a soggy mess, rendering the taco tortillas too wet to fold properly.

Despite this hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here in Coromandel. We hope the restaurant takes note of feedback like this to improve dishes like the pulled pork tacos. Overall, a fantastic dining option with the potential for even...

Very nice place for a meal. I'd eaten well elsewhere in Coromandel Town, but this was still the better meal. I had that steak fillet, which was nicely done, a good thickness, and plenty of veg and potato. Others have said the servings are large (mine was just perfect) and that the prices were high, but our meals were reasonably priced. Hopefully people aren't judging prices based on the one $50 steak meal (not mine) alone. Drinks and coffee menus were good, but dessert menu didn't really take our fancy. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and all nicely lit and atmospheric. We were in a covered outdoor area, which allowed our slightly noisey toddler to be comfortable without disturbing couples having a quiet, romantic meal inside. There are kids' menus with puzzles and colouring on the back along with crayons. High chairs available, plus a box of toys. Service was perfectly adequate, if a bit dry. To be fair, English wasn't her first language and she did a fine job despite the lack of talk.
