Since being taken over by Mel & Sallie my husband and I are now frequent diners at Weta.
The regular menu is fantastic with favourites like Pork Belly benny (honestly...you have to try it), and a specials board that changes constantly with some real gems making it onto the regular menu (yay for Moroccon salad!) Mel's humour is evident everywhere, from the dish descriptions, to the cute, not always anatomically correct cartoon drawings on the specials blackboard, the bursts of laughter and song from the staff, and the general happy vibe that can be found even on the busiest of days. The resident cat keeps punters entertained (one must step over him to get in some days), as does the collection of outdoor games in the courtyard and reserve. If you're lucky enough to be around while Tapas are happening...my god, they are a treat!

A bustling cafe with a nice vibe. The cafe has plenty of seating with a lovely covered outdoor area as well as inside seating.
I ordered a 1/2 portion of salmon eggs benedict. For $13 it had plenty of toppings with a perfectly runny poached egg. Everything cooked to perfection and the flavours were great. Hubby ordered the shaksuka with a side of mushrooms and he was raving about how delicious it was.
We will definitely be back; Highly...
Read moreStopped to share a quick beef burger with a friend before our 2.15pm railway tour, asked for no cheddar and for the burger to be halved for takeaways, but it took longer than 10mins to get ready and there was no one around to help cut the burger, feeling antsy about missing the train, we grabbed it and rushed off. Ended up having to do the 1.5hr tour before digging into it, opened it looking soggy with soggy fries, but after the first bite I was back to loving the establishment, it was so friggin tasty, was thinking it’s probably the best juicy burger with yummy pickles I had ever eaten that doesn’t have cheese, but as I thought that, I saw a yellow layer of cheese…so back to being pretty disappointed in the cafe, as I had...
