If we could rate them 0 stars we totally would. My partner came in and ordered and paid for blood and guts and when he gave it to me I opened it up and it was drenched in bbq sauce (bare in mind we've been coming to this fish n chip shop for so many years 15 years to be exact and not once has our blood and guts order come with bbq sauce) so we took it back in and let them know that not once has our order of blood and guts come with bbq sauce, everyone knows that blood and guts is tomato sauce aioli and cheese but the woman and young man kept trying to say otherwise (you can even do a quick Google search and even there it says that blood and guts does NOT contain bbq sauce) So we gave it back and instead asked to change our order to just 1 scoop of chips which is $6.50 and the woman here tried to say "free of charge" when my partner had already given her $10 for the previous order of blood and guts that we gave back. The woman had a horrid attitude the whole time and she tried to keep our change, I needed to ask for the rest of our money back. Very unprofessional and horrible behavior from both the woman and the young man. The young man was saying stuff in a snarky way behind the woman I recall him trying to say that blood and guts does come with bbq sauce when it just so blatantly DOESN'T. This place offers great value fish and chips as well as many other assortments including kebabs chicken and more. The food tastes wonderful and they have the best fish and chips in Wellington from my experience. (I have visited a few dozen fish and chips places from Eastbourne to kapiti). Other than a scoop of chips and a fish, I would recommend their snack box with chicken. I’ll quickly blow my own horn so you know that I am able to throw this out there, but without a doubt i rate this place in TOP 3 for sure in the Wellington Region that I have eaten from.
