wholesome little restaurant inside a motel. was finding a nice alternative to the food places that are part of the rotorua skyline experience. this restaurant is a quick walk from the skyline venue and easy to book ahead of time. the host was funny, witty, and hospitable. he kindly told us the specials and was knowledgeable of the food he was serving. we had the venison tataki and one of the specials (a delicious fig on sourdough with prosciutto). the components of the dishes are clean, honest, and all the flavours are harmonious. definitely recommend stopping by here for a meal in a cozy environment!

So tonight we checked out ‘the Brook’. Its down Barnard Rd, at the Ripple (formerly the Braeside Motel). We heard about this place through a friend of a friend of a friend, and it did not disappoint. Treena had the lamb shank, Ron had the osso bucco, and I had the sirloin steak👌. Its up there price-wise, but the portions are very generous, the presentation and flavours are on, great value for money. Excellent service too Definitely going back there, so put this on your radar peeps.

Staying at Ripple Rotorua, we decided to try out their on-site restaurant. The Brook had a homely feel with 5 star food. We had the Steak Frites, Spiced Pork Belly & Watermelon Salad, and the Spiced King Salmon. All dishes were presented and balanced in flavour to perfection.

What a gem this restaurant is. I had heard via a friend that it was good so thought we'd check it out. No fighting for parking. Peaceful location. Our maitre d' was fabulous. Explained the specials and the menu. He was very attentive and managed to see to everyone in the restaurant seamlessly. We shared the cured tuna dish to start which was absolutely beautiful. Magnificent flavours. Next salmon for me and sirloin steak for my son. Nice big portions, cooked well. The desserts looked amazing. Son opted for the frozen halva meringue with pomegranate and baklava. Afterwards we went for an explore of the stream and the games area. Definitely recommend this restaurant with great friendly staff and excellent food. We will be back to sample more delights and probably from the...

We stayed one night in Rotorua last week and had the most delightful evenings in Rotorua made possible by Keith and the chef at the Brook restaurant located inside the Ripples motel. The scotch fillet was perfectly cooked..beautiful crust on the outside and the juiciest medium rare meat which was delicious. My partner chose the fig fettuccine which was unusual for a pasta dish but a great balance of flavours. The pinot went down well and the panacotta for dessert was a beautiful finale to a wonderful dining experience. This...
