Imperial Restaurant — Restaurant in North Island

Our group of friends were very disappointed to this restaurant. 3 things that I need to say is : 1) the food were not good at all. (2) The price for the lunch was not worth it as they even charged NZ$5.00 per bowl of rice. The price quoted is more expensive than those well equipped restaurant in North & South Island in NZ. (3) Lastly this restaurant didnt give us an official receipt but just wrote on a plain white paper to us. Just wonder is this the common way of issuing receipt to customer? This is be the first and last visit to this restaurant. Too bad...

This was the worst meal my husband and I have had, we had travelled from Kaitaia to Rororua for a relatives funeral, we ordered sweet and sour pork on fried rice, the sweet and sour pork was just hard bits of batter with no pork and the fried rice was not good, the staff were walking around us obviously staring, there were no other customers in the restaurant at all. I would not even give it one star. We paid for the meal but did not eat much of it, and told the lady at the counter that the meal was awful the worst...

Will not eat here ever again. Should have checked the reviews first. Their buffet was pathetic, the only "food" being served was just chicken. We were told that they are still cooking in the kitchen so we sat down and decided to eat. They said there's ice cream in the freezer, but it had nothing but 4 empty ice cream containers with a little bit of ice cream left for my daughter. We already paid and was hungry. DO NOT EAT HERE.
