The Coffee Club Queensgate — Restaurant in North Island

the food comes with HAIR and the staff are so rude and unkind. asked for a new meal because i found a lovely long hair in my sandwich. Got a new one but the chips came AFTER we had finished dessert and were leaving so had to get them takeaway. you would think that the staff would prioritize someone who had already been disappointed but they were so so rude and honestly if the food was not so expensive i would have left. if you are going to charge prices that fit a restaurant, at least provide good food and proper portion sizes, not just nibbles. come here if your wallet is too heavy or if you feel like being treated like garbage by staff who will give you evil looks and not ever crack a smile to save their life. the wait time makes it seem like they have to travel to the ends of the solar system to make one smoothie. i wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, and if I find hair in my food, imagine what else is going on!! makes me sick thinking about it, imagine if I wouldn't have seen the hair. just disgusting. going to go be sick. i would give it negative stars...

We waited 10 minutes for our hot drinks, over 20 minutes for my son’s iced chocolate and this was after they almost gave us someone else’s order twice! We waited for 40 minutes for our food and that was after I chased it up and even then I waited for my food to come. The fries were average, my eggs bene was nothing to write home about. The bacon was way over done and the eggs were close to being overdone. If I knew the wait would be around 30 minutes I would not have ordered menu food. I also didn’t appreciate almost getting our drinks separately and almost getting another persons order. The first time we almost got a strawberry shake (and another shake along with an iced chocolate) and the second time we got the ice choc (in a takeaway cup) along with a soy latte which we never ordered.

We felt sorry for the poor kitchen person cooking as it looked like he was on his own servicing the whole cafe.

I probably wouldn’t come back here (and I don’t recommend coming here) until they can service people on a better time frame and deliver the right drinks to the right...

I very seldom give out 1-Star ratings, as they are reserved for establishments with the lowest conceivable level of quality and service. We ordered two 'Tropical Smoothies' which were terribly made. There was excessive coconut and tasted very sour. To their credit, they offered us another drink (this time a Mango Smoothie). This was even worse than before. The mango was mixed with remnants of strawberry, chocolate, coconut, banana, and pineapple from the machine. I assume the container was not cleaned before making the mango smoothie. The taste of mango was missing totally. The smoothie was watery.

Staff were dismissive and rude. It was no coincidence that there was only one other person at the cafe, given their shockingly poor service and quality.

It beggars belief that this establishment won a Retail Excellence Award from the Mall Management. It is very hard to imagine anything else worse than this...
