My first experience was good, I guess he was chinese who served me, he was very humble and gentle and I asked him to cut into 1 finger size, and the way he cleaned and cut the fish was better than my expectation. Having that experience I became their regular customer. I went back to buy fish and this time one of the guy (who was wearing nose pin earrings and more things on his face) dealing with me very rudely. I asked him to cut into one finger size as I used to take, but the way he responded me and the way he cut the fish was awful, he didn't even clean the fish, he left all the wings. I bought the big size of fish but he just made only 5 pieces in it. While I ask them why did they do like this, one of the short old guy (probably his name was young) came and yelling at me in his language. I explain this issue with the manager(Lee) regarding about his staff behaviour and explained him what had happened, but the manager couldn't manage the situation properly. I am completely disappointed with the service the way they have dealt. Manger was saying that they can only cut the fish only 2 finger size.The guy who dealt with me (It seems like he is not interested in his work). In my prospective this kind of staff could be a big loss for any company. Specially in NZ where the customers are very valuable. But this type of service from this store...
   Read moreI have been to the shop today to get some fish. Choose a mullet and requested to clean it. While waiting for the fish to come I have decided to buy another fish (a sea pearch) & requested the staff to get it cleaned, but unfortunately they started behaving very rudely. When I asked is there any problem, the lady said (yes, why I havenât decided to get this 2nd fish earlier? This is why they are not happy & behaving in such a way). It was an awful experience & not to mention this wasnât the first time Iâve had such kind of service from these SPECIFIC TWO staff members. I havenât wrote anything in the past about my experience, though couldnât help this time. They have to stop bullying their customers.
Other than these two, all other staff members are very helpful including the owner himself.

Not sure whatâs happened but honestly was not a good experience ...fish was fishy like yukkk ...our battered mussels although great in size, had the overall appearance of being under cooked, the batter was very pale not golden or crispy ...as was the fish as well...the potato fritter ...the potato still had a firmness to it when bitten into...
Felt extremely ripped off, takeaways for ourselves is a treat not something we are able to afford often, so putting it into the rubbish bin is something that wasnât done lightly ...letâs just say we made a donation to this store and it wonât be...
