Had a terrible experience this morning ordering coffee and will never purchase from here again even though I have been here often over the years. Wanted a coffee after having a hard time getting to work with the flooding. Asked for an iced mocha, which is usually coffee, milk, chocolate and ice. Was given a blended frappe. While the staff member was making it I did query why a frappe was being made to which she responded that is how they make it due to the chocolate powder. I told her that should be fine and was given the drink and thanked her. When I got to my car I had a sip and it tasted awful, like blended ice water with a hint of coffee. I had paid $7.30 for it, so decided to go back and let her know it wasn’t very nice. As there were people around I tried to be as nice and as quiet as possible while explaining to her that I wasn’t happy with the drink and asked if it could be remade or if I could have something else. The staff member took such offence to this, basically telling me I was being unreasonable and that no one has ever complained. Told me it wasn’t watery tasting because the consistency was thick. I acknowledged that she was probably having a hard morning like everyone else but that she was in fact being unreasonable. After raising her voice at me she said she would give me a refund and when I accepted this she continued to argue and make a scene. I am in customer service myself and I am appalled at how I was treated. I ended up without a refund or coffee and sat in my car upset before work because it was just embarrassing. Disgusting salmon quiche made with CANNED salmon??!! How do you call yourself a bakery and have nothing but poor quality baked goods with subpar ingredients and high prices? The steak and mushroom pie was at the same level as a petrol station pie, but surely a self-proclaimed bakery should have higher standards. We didn't expect much but were still sadly disappointed. Mostly an older clientele, at least when we were there, but also had a young couple watching Indian telly on their mobile at high volume as they shared a plate of eggs.
