So I've come back a number of times and can confirm the food is back to a great level, has probably only been not as good 1 of the 30+ times.
Staff are still awesome, will leave the previous content of the review for clarity.
I have been coming here since they first opened back around the mid 2000s, and up until the last month or two the food was delicious.
There has either been a change of cook, new owner, "cost cutting" recipe change, or a mixture of the above which has reduced this restaurant from a once Great 5 Start, to a 1 star.
The potatoes now taste old and rubbery, often more undercooked than cooked properly, with no flavor whatsoever anymore. Even the gravy has undergone some kind of change and doesn't have any flavor anymore either.
Will have to give this place a couple months break before giving it another chance. Three staff and atmosphere is all good, homey and of your typical Asian eatery, but don't be surprised if the food...

And the place has had a make over, but the food (+ that's what we go for) is no where near as good as it used to be. We had pork. The meat was so tuff, I didn't eat it. The pumpkin was not cooked, I didn't eat it. Couldn't find the kumera. The crackly was gr8. So I had crackly + a potato for lunch. Coffee!!! Oh my!! Enough said. So sad,because Marco used to be a lovely place to go. The ladies that used to run it were so nice + friendly too. Hope the man in charge now,gets to read some of our reviews, I hope it's helpful. Read moreI have been a loyal customer for many many years. I have a loyalty card, with every 10 meals purchased,you get 1 small meal free. Which means if you spend at least $200, you get a $10 meal free. I moved away and haven't been able to go recently. I went tonight to buy 2 meals, which will fill up my card, and I can get a free small meal. My card already has 18 purchased meals on it. The owner refused to honour this voucher. Apparently they are new owners since the past 3 months, and they are refusing to honour the previous owner's loyalty cards. Really?! They are choosing to lose a loyal and regular customer, instead of honouring a free $10 meal? She offered free crackling. That's about $2, which means she is prepared to lose a good customer, who consistently spends over $200, over $8. Pathetic really! I won't ever spend a cent in that...
