Auckland Indian Sweets & Snacks — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

I bought $86 worth of food and sweets from Auckland Indian Sweets Mt Roskill on Friday. I. Bought a lot if things and as they were different sweets and not enough to be in the boxes the staff packed in various white packets. The food was the two containers. All together it was two large containers of food and ten packets of sweets and two small containers of chutney plus one container of chumchum . After i paid i asked the lady to put them in a bag and she said To me that one bag is 50 cents. I said that i just paid with EFTPOS and she could have asked me if i wanted a bag as they sell bags as she saw me paying with a card and that i have no Cash on me . I said that it will cost me $2 more on transection fees now for the 50 cent bag but i really need the bag. The lady was really adamant that i pay for the paper bag and i had to use my EPTPOs card again to pay for the 50 cents bag . In the end the bag cost me $2.50 including my bank transection fees. I was so upset that i spent $86 here to Buy food and sweets and they couldn't give me a bag. It was appalling and shocking. My suggesting to people is that they must take a bag with them Like they take to super markets when they go To Auckland Indian sweets. I was shocked by the service i received . We have been buying sweets from this place over several years now. The quality (specially freshness) is hit and miss and their measured weights are quite different to our highly accurate kitchen scale. Generally their reported weights are approximately 10% higher than actual. It is not as if any of their prices are cheap either! This afternoon my wife and I went in to buy some sweets and while the shop assistant was packing one of the items into the paper bag it fell on the floor and she simply proceeded to simply pick it up and put it into the bag with the other items! YUCK!!! I would hate to think what their hygiene practices are like. NEVER STEPPING INTO THIS STORE AGAIN....
