It was most pathetic food! Please never eat we order falooda lassi and three dosas! No food seem fresh especially falooda it felt sour and old! If you don’t want to waste your money it’s a good choice to skip this restaurant forever!!
Post note based on comment from the restaurant dated 29Jan22 - This review is not based how restaurant owner is trying to picture, because we asked to cancel falooda and it was prepared, and I posted in anger or anything but purely to make customer aware what you should not order or spend your money wisely. we asked to cancel falooda cause before that we had tried other food and we had sheer disappointment. Based on that we thought if falood is not ready let’s try not to waste more money which every customer would think but moment they told us it is already prepared we did not argue further as we understand that would be totally unfair to anyone. To give you a background, we ordered three dosas - including bombay mysore dosa and I did not even touched it after one bite cause of no taste in it, similarly my friend had ordered - crispy paneer dosa (which was completely soft - I don’t know why named crispy then) and she did exactly the same - we only managed to eat maharaja dosa cause it was okay to eat and had sabudana waada, dahi puri. Again, mango lassi (like falooda had some sour taste in it) - the reason we asked to cancel falooda which we were planning to have as a dessert was purely after trying dosa.
For preparing falooda, you might not be using any ingredient that makes it sour, but it only turns sour or stale when not using fresh dairy product - this is the basic knowledge anyone running the food industry should know. Besides, even if you had cancelled our falooda we would have given the same review cause both dosa was total waste and we did not even eat more than a bite. Lastly, I have never put any wrong review for any restaurant so far because they haven't served us any stale or sour food - the day they will do I will post it too so rather try to improve your quality and attitude and work on the feedback customer gives you to run...
Read moreI read a lot of bad reviews regarding this place but because of my flatmate's insistence, I decided to give it a go with my boyfriend. I have not written long bad food reviews before but here you go.
Customer service: They have the worst customer service I have experienced until now. They have a weird order taking system where you have to write your own orders, and they won't clear your table. Our dishes were just piling up and we hardly had space to eat at the end. My boyfriend doesn't know to speak Hindi and they were continuing talking in Hindi with him just because he looks Indian. He had trouble paying bill because of that and I had to excuse him and pay the bill myself.
About food: We ordered 4 dishes - 2 Medu wada sambar(bland and Sambar had flour texture as if they mixed flour to make it thick), 1 Mysore masala dosa(weirdly the masala had capsicum in it and we could taste ketchup up. It was not near to any masala dosa that I have ever eaten), 1 Manchow soup(The taste was okay) and 2 Paneer chilly dosas(Extremely bad. The paneer was of microscopic size. The filling was loaded with ketchup. I couldn't eat it beyond few bites. It tasted unsavory). I and my boyfriend had stomach problems the next day. And no, it's not because we can't handle spice. We eat very flavourful spicy food every day. I read about one of their store in CBD and Mt Roskill receiving E grade in 2019. Wouldn't be surprised if their hygiene levels have been elevated at all since then!
Final comments: I can't believe they have restaurants in Australia, NZ, Dubai etc. Not sure what their standards are over elsewhere but surely Dosa Plaza Dominion road isn't acting according to its international standard. I wouldn't dare go...

When I kept asking owner and staff, the only reply they have is, “it’s getting ready”
Even the Hot and Sour Soup took 45 minutes to come to your table. kids and me almost lost appetite to eat it. But it was late for any other restaurant so had to deal with this.
The worst part is, we were offered take the table which was full of dirty dishes. I thought because the other customers just left and someone will clean the table in couple of minutes.....to my surprise my family and I were standing next to table for almost 20 minutes and no one bothered to clean the table. I had to ask them to do it quick. How come they don't have basic sense of cleaning dirty table as soon as customer leaves. It's a common sense. I would like to ask the owner, would you stand next to dirty dishes on the table for 20 minutes and keep expecting someone to come and clean it anytime?
Poor customer service. I don’t know why most of Indian Restaurants owner treat Indian customers same way as if they are in India. No smile, no sorry for delay and no regrets even if they know it’s wrong.
It takes Months to build a good customer but takes one visit to lose it.
It’s not a fine dining restaurant, just a normal indian eatery, if you cannot do good customer service and quick service you will not survive in this competitive world. Just good food will not be enough.
The only reason I gave 1 star is the food was not bad. But cannot go well with bad customer service, delayed and late service.
Hope you read this and...
