Used drive thru to order a Whopper meal. While waiting at the window for food we listened to staff joking around and swearing. We drove off to eat but discovered our Whopper burger bun had MOULD on the bottom so we drove back and went in store. Staff still joking around but got the attention of a guy with headset on. He offered to sort our ‘mouldy burger’. No apology or offer of a refund (noting apparently you should be offered a full refund and a replacement). At that point I noticed the grubby counter…the perspex screen has so much yuck under it and area is cluttered and messy. Numerous staff lacked hair nets ( hair loosely tied…not appropriate for food handling), no sign of management ‘behaviour’ just staff standing around having a giggle. Surely it doesn’t take much to know food safe behaviour and check your ingredients prior to presenting to customers. BK Kumeu might look new / flash but know the food here is certainly questionable. April 2023 - just drive past - there are BK around with management who are engaged with staff behaviour and safe practices.”Mouldy burger” certainly very present at this store so always check your food prior to taking a bite because staff won’t be paying...

Returning to my table after grabbing a drink where the machine was producing a horrible mix of drink To open my bag to find cold stale chips And a burger that looks like it had not only been cooked 3 days ago and then thrown in the microwave ,but also looking like it had been used in a game of volleyball An absolute mess!

The problem was he would not let us explain what we were missing before we were cut off. We ended up having family call us after we left and they wanted food so we went back and instead of going through the drive thru we went inside to see if that would make it easier. I explained to the guy we just came thru and that they still missed a burger and could we have that as well as the order we were about to place but he charged us for the burger anyway. They then missed a drink on that order. Then my mum asked for sauce and he charged us for that as well. We spent over $120 there. They seemed nice enough but they need to let their customers speak and stop cutting them off with "anything else" or laughing when you try explain what was missing and saying "no no its all there" when it's not that way they might actually get the order right.
