I like another reviewer am also reluctant to complain but on 7th Aug22 I visited, paid cash for lunch and was short changed by $10. I rang on Monday 8th & asked to speak to the manager who checked with a staff member to see if the float was over by $10 but it wasn't. She said she would investigate further & ring me back next day (Tues 9Aug22), today is the 16th & I am still waiting. I will not return. I hope that management put some time & effort into making sure the staff are competent with cash ensuring they give the correct change. Even if the float was correct there is nothing to say that any extra is being fleeced or that another person may have been given too much change. I had got money out of an ATM only an hour beforehand, had visited 2 other places and made only 1 purchase before arriving at CC so I know what I had in my wallet when I got there. I asked for a Latte with one sugar and a warm buttered scone to take away. I received a Latte with no sugar and a cold scone out in a bag with no butter. It’s not really hard to get that order correct. Then when I asked for sugar I had to use a sachet off the table and go and ask for a spoon. I then had to ask for a knife to spread the butter on my scone once he had heated it up. It’s really hard to putter butter on a scone with no knife when it’s a takeaway. Probably tied to his increasingly desperate-sounding attempts to sell the business. Business for sale listing online reads "all offers will be considered"
Hopefully a new operator will display a better attitude, if one can eventually be found. Meanwhile it's a bit contradictory going through the pretense of running a "loyalty scheme" when feedback from loyal customers is rudely dismissed.
