we came here as a last stop for our trip in Dunedin, didn’t expect it to be one of the best, if not the best cafe we’ve been to. food was exceptional, service was excellent, and the location was super convenient. if you are visiting Dunedin, make sure to stop by here. the reviews are amazing for a reason. price is worth it too for what you’re getting. highly recommend this cozy place!

Can definitely recommend! Had pancakes with my gf. We shared one and had some drinks (hot chocolate and coffee). Staff really friendly, we were asked if we wanted cinnamon or cacao on the coffee, which is always nice to be able to choose. Pancakes tasted amazing and the portion was adequate in relation to the price.

I was very impressed with Bru! The service was great, everyone was so nice which I’ve found to be a rarity out here in Dunedin. The gluten free pancakes were delicious as was the coffee! And I loved the hash browns! They were different than what I’m used to but they were very tasty!

Food, coffee and atmosphere were good. Service was quick. However, as an avid tea drinker I was disappointed with the tea - it tasted more of strong chlorine than tea (despite me moving the teabag into the cup to steep longer). The addition of milk was necessary. Clearly this is a regular hangout for locals and I enjoyed the chilled atmosphere, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are a tea drinker - there are other cafés in Dunedin that better cater for a tea drinker and some serve...

Highly recommend this place. 👌 Friendly service. Enjoyed Potato and Bacon soup recently, suggestion to add Leek or Pumpkin to the soup for another flavour dimension. Cabinet food looked real yum. Hesitant to try, given gladwrap on some items which gave me the impression some food could have been old. Perhaps some wee signs saying * made fresh* or made today beside or infront of the Cabinet food may be helpful. Look forward to...

Bru is a great cafe. They are able to cater to multiple dietary needs including coeliac disease. Great for special occasions and daily dining. Best GF pancakes in Dunedin. Bru also does catering and did a coeliac safe menu for me to take offsite (did offer delivery too). Beautifully presented food, great range of variety and served boxes that were great for both the travelling and eating stages....
