The Coffee Club Queenstown Central — Restaurant in South Island

Our group went in for brunch on New Years Day, the place was not busy at all. I ordered fish and chips, unfortunately the fish was the cheap frozen type and was tasteless.

All of our group had overcooked eggs until one member specifically went up and told the staff to please make sure her eggs were runny due to the rest of our tables’ experience. Finally after a long wait the ‘chef’ managed to poach an egg properly although the remaining eggs after this were still hard. I could go on about the rest of the food but you get the idea.

Chef looked like she had just run a marathon and was sweating everywhere, clearly having a busy morning of cooking rock hard eggs and heating frozen food. Average coffee, bad food, just don’t even bother...

I recently visited The Coffee Club in Queenstown Central, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that my order was just right.

So coffee club tucked away round the back of the new Queenstown central open air mall area. Nice food large menu I had the fish burger well cooked and served very quickly. Staff are friendly and efficient. So why one star? The nearist toilet over 250m away through a busy car park if your in a wheel chair or use a walking frame or maybe your taking your kids out for lunch this is a nightmare not to mention I believe it's also illegal (I could be wrong). They have at least 16 tables a private function room and about 20 items in their menu that are full meals so this is not a stop and go coffee shop it's a casual restaurant and a ten minute walk to and from the toilet in the middle of a Queenstown winter just not going to happen for me again so I will not...
