Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Lovely spot that is in a fairly quiet location on a Thursday. Plenty of people coming in and dining in.

I brought my 14mo old and FOH were happy to heat up her pouch for me. I asked about keto being on the menu, and the FOH showed me all my options. One savoury and two or three desserts in the cabinet, but the main menu could be altered to fit dietary requirements.

I had the egg muffin (boiled egg, wrapped in bacon on the inside!), a side of salad and the neapolitan cake. The egg muffin was big and tasty, and cooked just right. The cake filled me up (almost too much, but I'm not complaining as I was starving) and I was happy it wasn't too sweet. The cake base was yummy!

I ordered an iced matcha latte, and when I received it, the staff told me the lid was cracked and to be careful. As expected, the drink was leaking through the crack. I asked for a new lid, and they replaced it, but it wasn’t sealed properly and the drink leaked again. Even after the third lid replacement, the issue wasn’t resolved.They replaced the lid three times, but the cup was already sticky from the spilled drink. I come here almost every morning. Great food and coffee, nice staff, kind and helpful. Pet friendly. I must say recently this Month an elder man had an episode (seizure, heart attack, I don’t know exactly what it was) and dropped all the tableware. The staff quickly gave him space and supported him. They cleaned it up the place, called the ambulance and the owner/ manager kept the old man’s company talking to him and calming him until the ambulance arrived.
