snowman — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Okay WOW… we don’t know where to start. So my husband and I have been wanting to try this place for some time but hadn’t gotten around to it. We are newbies to the area (Lonely Track Rd) and this was one of the places we wanted to try. So today we drove over and unfortunately they did not have pay wave (we never carry credit/eftpos cards) so please make sure you have yours with you when in store. Anyway, my husband was so lucky today (some devine intervention, I won’t share those details) and he came back to the car (takeaway sweets because I was not dressed to go in-store) and OH MY. The pics says it all really. The Strawberry Honey Bread is amazing and so good I literally ate that all on my own. Don’t feel sorry for my husband, he had a real good go at the ice cream…anyway, because we got ours to take away it did not come with the cream on top but hey… honestly it’s great without it. I was eating it with the ice cream 😊. And the strawberry ice cream with shaved creamy ice with a generous amount of strawberries and syrup… really is next level. Listen, if you’re reading this please, throw your kids, wife, husband, better half, bf, gf, bff, fam and fam pets in the car and try this place. Snowman won’t disappoint. I used to love this place and enjoyed all their dessert. And they used to be really popular and busy, but recently I've noticed that they have been pretty quiet and I can see why after visiting them again. I ordered the large melon snow ice, as it used to be one of my favourites. It was so disappointing to find that what used to be sweet juicy melon balls have turned into thin slice of melon shaped to resemble a melon ball. It was literally like eating melon skins. They used to have two square melon ice blocks on top with gummies, and they skimped out on that too and dropped it down to one square. I literally just paid to eat ice. Such a waste of money. We used to be a costumer at Chancery Square until they shut down, but luckily they have a location at Northshore. I'm not positive if it's owned by the same person, but definitely the top spot in town for unique and high-quality shave ice. It was our family's favorite choice.

We went with the mango flavor and you can't go wrong with it. My son asked for chocolate and I was surprised when the owner gave him a free chocolate ice cream. While it may be more expensive than other options, you won't find shave ice cream that's as perfect as theirs, and it's great for sharing. Each bite is flawless until the end. Extremely delicious.
