Juicy Grill Turkish Kebab and Burger — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Disappointed :/ maybe all the good reviews are for other staff and/or food items? Ordered the vege burger, onion rings and a thick shake ($28.50) The guys English isn’t great so hard to understand what’s happening. I pointed out a pricing error programmed into the till that gave me a $1 discount so he cancelled the payment, fiddled around on the till for a while and then charged me the extra $1 🤦🏼‍♀️ you’re welcome! Didn’t take long to get the order but I’d say that’s mostly as I was the only one there. The menu has no info like what’s in the burgers and ordering was hard enough so wasn’t going to bother asking. The burger making starts in the microwave 😬 the patty seemed nice (except soggy in the middle) but couldn’t taste anything over all the sauce on the top and bottom buns (some kind of clear goopy relish 🤷🏼‍♀️) that just dripped everywhere as soon as I bit into it - I’m all for a messy burger but this wasn’t pleasant. There’s not much to the burger at all (patty, lettuce, tomato, red onion and the same goopy sauce top and bottom). Doesn’t compare well to other takeaway shop burgers (ie BurgerFuel’s V8 vege is only .90c more or Northcross Takeaway does a great vege burger for $10 and it’s huge and way tastier!) Onion rings ok but just the generic processed frozen kind you can get at the supermarket. Shake was pretty good. Overall wouldn’t try again - the burger was unpleasant to eat and overpriced for how...

It's a shame their awesome neon sign wasn't lit up out on the main road... if it was you would be sure to see where this FABULOUS gem of Turkish cuisine is. We have started to frequent here to pick up mouth watering meals to take home and enjoy - although there are tables and chairs and bottles of water on each table for you if you can't wait to eat the delights... you can eat on site! Situated right next to the bottle store, you can nip into next door to grab a bottle of vino or your favourite drink while your meal is being prepared (meals are always fresh and plentiful in meat and flavour, this is made fresh for you so don't be impatient, it's worth the small wait). Don't be fooled by the plain decor... Juicy Grill is worth a visit - check out their menu - you won't be disappointed, the chef obviously has a passion for the food he cooks and presents and whether a burger or a plentiful boxed meal... we are hooked and intend to help support him and the business he is working so hard to promote and present to all the local community. We'll probably see you there sometime...

Decided to try this local. It was a Friday night and only one person serving and preparing food. The place looked clean but sterile. No relaxing music to ease the atmosphere. The tables and chairs were pushed up against the wall, so I guess they don't encourage eating in, no cutlery or serviettes. We ordered - a combo Iskender, lamb/chicken and a Paneer Shish. After 30mins of waiting we were told that the Iskender was ready but the Paneer Shish was another 20mins away (just before this, another staff member turned up). We had had enough at that stage and requested our money back. Not going to wait another 20mins while one meal is sitting there ready. Went to Farteze and got served within 10mins of ordering. Communication goes a long way guys! If short staffed you need to let potential customers know, not let them wait 30mins...
