First time here and the experience wasn’t great. The service was fine, mostly self-service. I ordered the Spicy chicken so I can only speak on that. Firstly the price is on the high side compared to other places’ spicy chicken ($36). When it came to my table I was happy to see such a big plate, thinking the portion would be good but quickly I realised it’s 90% chilli and 10% chicken. I ate all the chicken within afew minutes and was digging around hoping to find more chicken (you can see the photo to get an idea of how much chicken there was). What’s worse is that although they made it authentically and it could’ve tasted amazing but unfortunately the chicken taste like it’s been frozen for a long time and had no chicken taste anymore. So in the end, the lunch cost quite a bit, didn’t taste very good and left me still feeling hungry even though I don’t usually need to eat much to feel full.

The people sitting next table is closer than people sitting in front at your table. That is how uncomfortable it’s. we were not that lucky that one of people from next table talking so loud nonstoply, complains after complains about his life. Those negative feelings flowing into your face and you could taste his sour soul. Food from this restaurant is around normal level. Crab source noodles tastes okayish, just a different from the menu a lot. Cold dish veggies is submerged in oil, refreshing however can’t take much. Boiling fish is really average, we are expecting many types of chills and spices which could enhance the flavours, however nothing more than a home made pot. I like the deco of this restaurant, big bamboo chairs and spacious table and abacus!

Great food! Not terribly priced for what you get as well! $70 fed my wife and I and we borderline ordered too much but we managed to finish it all because it was so delicious This cuisine of Chinese food is Noodles rather than rice so only a couple of fried rice options are on the menu which wasn't bad but was definitely the least favourite of what we ordered. Food was quite fast to receive after ordering & free self serve hot tea was very nice to have. The staff and all service was very friendly, although obvious seating areas for Chinese vs non-chinese existed which was a bit funny but understandable as im sure that's a nice thing for chinese nationals to have a bit of feeling of home. Definitely look forward to eating here again 😋

The 滕椒雞肉 is a revelation of flavor, a dish where the delicate tenderness of chicken meets the electric embrace of Tengjiao pepper. Each bite is a symphony—vivid, exhilarating, and unapologetically bold. The numbing spice dances on the palate like a fleeting spark, leaving behind a lingering warmth that comforts the soul. It is a dish that awakens, a melody of fire and earth crafted with precision and heart.

Then there is the 金湯魚, a bowl of liquid gold that radiates opulence. The broth glimmers like sunlight captured in a vessel, its flavor an intricate balance of tang and umami. The fish, tender as silk, swims in this golden elixir, absorbing its essence and delivering it to your senses in waves of pure bliss. This is not just a dish but a moment of transcendence, a taste of the sublime that lingers long after the last drop is savored.

Each dish, a masterpiece. Together, an unforgettable journey through the...

A little pricey. Can the staffs tie up thier long hairs?

Re the owners comment about concerns for the food and respect of the staffs, the comment I made above was completely respectful and relevant to the food hygiene. Working in a busy restaurant and kitchen, it raises concerns when seeing the staffs working around with their long hairs down. Hair dropping in the food???? Really surprised that's something you do not know before as a restaurant owner.

I have been here before, and to be more specific after tasting the food again, it's not worth the money. Average and salty. The attitude of the restaurant owner is rude and arrogant. People are giving your constructive opinions, you don't seem to be able to hear any. This is none about so called NZ culture and respect, I'm talking about food hygiene, hospitality standard here and trying to help you enhance your service. What...
