Central Cafe — Restaurant in Waikato

Sadly an experience that went horribly wrong , what was ment to be a treat brunch out with my boys ended up a real let down and morning of disappointment. I ordered 3 eggs Benny 2 salmon 1 bacon with a pancake 🥞 to come out afterwards to share . 30 min later the pancakes came out first followed by 1 salmon, 5 min later a bacon eggs Benny. They had forgotten my sons salmon. 10 min later one comes out my son says dad is the salmon supposed to be cold ,it was frozen solid on toast . I took it back to no apology. Are you sure was the response 🤔. After another 10 min it came back out ,they had rewarmed the dish now having hard eggs and tough toast . Service: The cashier greeted me with friendly service (4 out of 5 for her). The other women hovering around in the kitchen was not as pleasant as the smiling woman who greeted me (2 out of 5 for her service). Cleanliness; At 6:45 am, the cafe' appeared clean. Value for money; Mocha - coconut at $7.40 - same price as the rest of the cafe's in the area. Small things; Nice touch, like offering a marshmallow in the mocha (normally reserved for hot chocolates). On this occasion, I did not eat any food. Will go back to try. The decor was a total assault on my senses. Both vegetarian options contained dairy. Themed as an American diner but no French fries? Waited a long time for food which was meh (It wasnt busy, and we only ordered eggs and mushrooms) . Not kid friendly- changing table in the toilet was a bare wooden table (good that there was one but a change pad costs, what, $20). Service left a lot to be desired. Lots of tables had yet to be cleared, did not receive teaspoons with coffee, lady at coffee machine saw me struggling to hold baby and cup and turn on water tap right in front of her and just stared.
