Dog box bar&pizza — Restaurant in Waitematā

Tiny place, great atmosphere, and friendly owners! Food is basic but really good. Their pizza isn't Sals, but infinitely better than Dominos or most bar pizza! I had the jalapeno veggie and it was packed with toppings and delicious. Plus their Happy Hour wine is really good! I will and have returned!

I returned, and not only did Sam, (owner or MGR) remember my preferences, he made sure I got the changes to what I ordered without me even asking! The Pizza was top-notch, and the squid tents were the best I have had in a long while! Plus, the Sav they serve (on Happy Hour!) is one of the best Savs I've had, and I AM a Sav critic....

I need to get a crowed of friends down...

As someone who works in the industry I was rather disappointed. Firstly the floor as you walk in is very sticky a sign of which displays that the cleaning requirements set out within the council guidelines are not followed correctly.

Secondly the food was very disappointing, the pizza base tasted store brought and the overall pizza was bland.

The 5 star reviews are clearly not an accurate description of the standards portrayed.

I understand that the establishment is on a busy nightclub area, however, the customer deserved...

Me and my friend recently enjoyed a delicious meal at The Dog Box, and it's safe to say I was thoroughly impressed. Two dishes that we can't stop raving about is their margherita and the non vege platter. The crust was wonderfully crispy, they also have a great cocktail im not gonna lie. Me and my friend (sunil) were dying inside and we hope that night will never end or mybe we just drunk lol. anyway, Service is top-notch and they also have dj and live music going on that night.. yummy pizza, cheap prices, deff will come...
