We've ordered from Uber Eats twice; the flavours were good, but the first time we ordered, there was very little chicken, and the same was true the second time. It’s probably 60- 80 g, only a few bits of chicken. My daughter received 4 pieces of pork that were half fat — seriously bad value; she left a toxic review a few weeks back.
I thought it was because Uber Eats was taking a cut of the profits, so they used less meat. We dropped in out of curiosity to see if dining in would make a difference. No! Hardly any chicken. They also had $19.50 on their menu, but we were charged $25.00. There was a big English gap — she had to bring someone from the back to translate, which took a long time. We just paid the bill; it was too hard to communicate. Aside from the delay with the bill and explaining, the service was okay. The waitress had a nice smile and was pleasant, although my wife ordered another glass of wine, which never arrived — not a big deal.
We used to eat here all the time, with different owners, a few years ago. We won’t be going back. Hopefully, they read this and make a change before they lose too many customers. Wishing them all the best; it’s been tough for hospitality. This is our first negative review, which is unusual for us, as we are usually...
Read moreFor a catch up dinner, we tried Pok Pok Thai in K Road and manages to arrive prior to a large party due arrive, so we were encouraged to order before the encroaching group. The restaurant was cute and quaint, staff was very friendly and particularly nice enough to advise of a pending 22 people expected to arrive.
We ordered a mixture of entrees including deep fried chicken spring roll, sweet sticky pork belly and chicken satay. The outstanding highlight was the exquisite pork, so sticky, sweet and unctuous morsels of tender yet caramelized in texture.
For our mains, we settled on coconut poached salmon and the Tom Yum prawns. The salmon was exceptional tasting, delicately cooked and beautifully presented in a fragrant red curry coconut cream gravy with lemongrass mushrooms.
I’d like to try more of the menu as there was several simple but impressive dishes. Pok Pok Thai is a fantastic find delivering a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. Highly...
Read moreFood was great! Would give 5 stars for the chef. But overall the custoner service was so bad.
We walked in but the waitress finger point the table from the counter desk and made a gesture to sit wherever you want instead of guide us. Waiting for someone come and ask for order or explain the menu. No one coming. Looked at menu but no drinks there so I went to the counter and ask if they sell drinks. She finally gave me the drinks menu.
Order one bottle of wine and waitress came back after 15 mins and says they don't have that wine. We choose the other one says no again. So we choose what they have.
The resturant was only 25% full but food came out so late. No one come around and check if everything ok but we had to go to counter to tell what we would like to order more. Paid bill and leave the place and we realised we haven't heard sorry or thanks from anyone...
