🌯 Little Turkish Kebab. Where Kebabs Come Stuffed Like They Owe You Money
Small, cozy spot on K Road serving up kebabs and woodfired pizzas. Haven’t tried the pizza yet, but their kebab game is STRONG. Easily one of the best I’ve had in Auckland. They don’t skimp either, this thing was stuffed like it was smuggling flavour across the border.
Paid $16 for a chicken kebab (no combo), and honestly? Worth every cent. Portion’s big, flavour’s big, and I left with both hands full and a happy stomach.
Place looked a little busy when I walked in, but the team was fast my order came out quicker than my parking meter countdown. Staff’s friendly and the shop’s clean, no sauce stains on the tables, no mystery smells.
Parking? Bit of a nightmare during the day. At night after 7PM, if you get lucky, you can grab a street spot in the bus lane but good luck on Fridays and Saturdays when K Road’s packed with more people that can't walk up a straight line.
Dine in or takeaway, both work fine. Will be back to finally try that pizza, and probably to test if the kebabs can get any bigger without breaking city by-laws.

Read moreA friend and I came here late on a Sunday night when most other shops were closed. Very thankful this place was open as I was starved! I got the traditional Kebab, which after some ordering snafus was very good and a healthy portion of meat. I had two issues with service while here though. First, I believe someone at the neighboring table got my order as my friend got his plate, the gentleman at the next table got a plate, and then more people that arrived after I did started getting their plates, then the rest of the people at the next table got their plates. I didn't have to ask, the cook at the counter saw I was without my food while my friend was waiting to start his plate and got mine out to me pretty quickly. The second problem was that I ordered mine with mayo as the sauce, I didn't want anything spicy. I'll admit that maybe I didn't understand the menu, but mine came out with chili sauce in it and it was just too much for me to bear. I asked him to make it without the sauce and he did so pretty quickly. My friend said his food was still hot...but I think he was just being polite. This place also has a wood-fired pizza oven, but we...
Read moreI had dinner at the Little Turkish Cafe on Monday night. I ordered the Lamb Shank and a Hawaiian Pizza. I think the guys thought I was joking when I ordered two meals. The pizza arrived first. It was a little smaller than I expected at first but at $16 I soon realised it was good value. It was also beautiful. The crust was nice, thin and crisp. Just how I like it. The toppings were great also. The cheese 🧀 on top was melted and crispy. This was a lovley pizza 🍕 and a great start to my meal. Next came the Lamb Shank at $28. It also comes with a plate of rice beetroot carrot red onion tomato and hummus. This was again a lovley meal. Although the lamb as a little cool inside but not to the point that I needed to send it back. It was very tender and sitting in a pool of tastie gravy. The whole dish was another quality meal which I was more then happy with. Next time im in the city I will go back for another meal. Can also recommend the Little Turkish Cafe to anyone wanting a quoted quality well priced meal...
