Sushi Samurai — Restaurant in Waitematā

Had a Groupon voucher for a six course dinner which was worth $89 but cost $49 for 2 people. Sadly it wasn't the dinner experience we were expecting for the offer and we felt somewhat underwhelmed. The food was nice and our waitress was adequate but the six courses promised were brought out within half an hour including the main. It was rushed and we weren't able to savour the dishes which we had to share rather than getting one each (except for the main course). We were the only diners in the place so I'm not sure why it was all so fast? I guess we were expecting dinner to be served over a couple of hours with a nice ambiance in nice surroundings but instead got a lunchtime sushi takeout experience which to be honest probably only added up to $49 anyway. Went for a solo sushi train run while doing some erramds and came across this place. It wasnt very busy when i arrived and i was seated at the sushi bar pretty quick. I picked a selection of stuff off the train but it was a touch limited compared to other sushi train places ive been to. That being said the sushi that i did have was very nice and reasonably well priced. I have three to 4 plates plus the big bowl of edemame in the photo and it only set me back around 23 bucks. Id say definetely worth it. Plus they have a fairly extensive menu so anything not on the train, they can just make to order. It was kind of sad to see a slightly empty sushi train doing laps. Visit then on a Saturday afternoon, place was empty, 3 couples. Took almost 30 minutes for our food to start coming, which is way too much considering one of the requested meals was raw fish. The guy at reception was taking orders, cleaning tables, serving tables, serving Uber orders, answering the phone, closing/charging customer bills, and I thought he was also cooking meals considering the amount of time he was inside kitchen, but then I saw someone else there… No Food on the trays and when there was any, it was cold.
