A Hidden Gem with Heart and Soul Walking into Fluffy Cafe felt like stepping into a charming fairytale a cozy, unpretentious space where warmth and nostalgia blend seamlessly. Run by a lovely Vietnamese couple, this café radiates genuine passion and dedication. The décor isn’t overly polished, but that’s its magic; it’s filled with subtle, whimsical touches that make you feel right at home. The food? Absolutely stellar. The “Chashu Egg Pork Sando”was a revelation the pork so tender it almost resembled duck, with melt-in-your-mouth texture and a perfectly runny egg tying it all together. The “Pork Skewer”was another standout, generous in portion and packed with flavor. While the “Special Beef Pho Bo leaned slightly sweet for our taste, it was still delicious and didn’t overshadow our overall delight. But what truly stole my heart was the lemon honey ginger drink. One sip transported me back to my childhood, to my grandmother’s kitchen, where she’d lovingly brew this remedy whenever I was sick. The balance of tangy lemon, soothing honey, and spicy ginger was stunning a perfect homage to tradition. Fluffy Cafe isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a story of love, family, and perseverance. You can feel the couple’s dedication in every bite and every detail. This café deserves all the support “a must-visit in Auckland” We’ll be back...
Read morecame in here a few weeks ago and was such a crazy experience i’m still thinking about it. we came here for brunch and the guy serving us sat down to take our order and i had to help him as he didn’t know how to use the program on the ipad. It was quite odd but service was friendly, the food however was not it. The beef pho was not good, it was lukewarm and flat and the kimchi soup was also really not great? they didn’t use silken tofu, which i thought was weird, also the soup was watery and it had coleslaw in it that was weirdly sweet and mayo-ish, i think it was just literally supermarket pre made coleslaw. eggs benedict was ok, odd plating and the hashbrown was not crispy, thought the singular piece of broccolini was strange, the rice bowls and spring rolls were ok, but mediocre. To sum it up this is instagram food, we also got a fries which we didn’t take a picture of and they literally gave us maybe 9 fries, it was so bizarre that we actually enjoyed our experience but the food was not good at...
Read moreHad brunch here today! Firstly, the decor and atmosphere is really nice. There are lots of tables with natural lighting but also a couple cozy tables in the corner.
We ordered a main and a drink each from the menu and also shared a popcorn chicken - they also have cabinet food but we didn’t order any.
I got the Gogi which is bread topped with meat. Their prices are slightly less than some other brunch places ($17 for the Gogi) so I wasn’t expecting as much meat but it was a really good portion. My friends also agreed that the portion size was quite generous. The bread was toasted but still really soft and fluffy(!!) and the flavour of the meat was nice.
I alway try house sodas at cafes and restaurants so I ordered the peach soda. It was really refreshing and tasted like summer!
The staff were really kind and attentive too. It wasn’t too busy when we came around 12pm so the service was really quick, but it did start to pick up a bit by the time we left. I would definitely...
