What a shame for all the hard work that goes into preparing this delicious sushi that average service and horrendous plastic packaging lets this business down so badly. There is a lot of staff working hard but there are no smiles or any helpful customer service. I was really dismayed to find that they have reintroduced the worst plastic packaging imaginable to present their delicious & beautifully made sushi. Iโm afraid until they start understanding this is a massive backward step for their business they are going to lose customers rapidly. Unfortunately we will have to stop buying from this place until this change is made. We can live without a friendly customer service experience, but we cannot support this outdated, environmental waste pit they are creating in this place. Go and see what TJ Katsu are doing in the city with cardboard packaging or washable plate options to eat from in store. This type of wasteful packaging just has to stop but the consumer must take responsibility and try to inform these types of businesses we just wonโt support them any more if they continue with this packaging. While browsing the sushi options, I asked the person behind the counter about the price of a prawn and chicken sushi (not the salmon) that was on display. I clearly heard him say it was $8, which he repeated twice. However, when I went to pay at the counter, I was charged $9. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the employee raised his voice and responded in a manner that was both rude and dismissive, making it clear he was annoyed by my question.
I want to emphasize that Iโm happy to pay the correct amount. In fact, I just paid for the Large Katsu and other sushi already but I simply wanted clarification on the price.
The aggressive attitude, however, left a sour impression, and I was so put off that I chose not to purchase any additional sushi, even though I was initially considering it.
