My daughter and I really delicious meal at Nectar on La Calzada! The street was busy and lively, and we loved the vibrant atmosphere. For appetizers we had some tostones & cheese, crispy plantains topped with fresh cheese and salsa (so so good, perfect for sharing), and the comforting tortilla soup, full of flavor and topped with avocado and crispy strips. The portions where big!

For our main course, we enjoyed the tostada salad, a crispy tortilla filled with rice, beans, chicken and avocado. It had a perfect mix of flavors and textures. The jalapeño chicken, a traditional Nicaraguan dish, was cooked just right and served with rice, potatoes, and salad, with just the right amount of spiciness. We tried this dish in several places and this was our favorite version.

For dessert we had the coconut flan. It was creamy, sweet and delicious with just the right amount of coconut flavor. We also had refreshing drinks. I had the mojito and my daughter enjoying a choco banana smoothie. Both were really good.

I really liked that Nectar has a diverse menu, with both traditional Nicaraguan dishes and international options. We saw lots of families there and I loved that they have a kid's menu! The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the...

Decent food and a nice street atmosphere. If you want a more relaxing atmosphere, try walking through the restaurant and eat in the courtyard.

The highlight thing we ordered here was the cafe frappe (think Starbucks Frappuccino x5). I would return just for this drink.

We ate here on two occasions and on one occasion the server had “forgotten” to add some items to the bill and manually added them at our table. It appears as though the forgotten items was money he pocketed. In other words he put the money into the till for the items on the bill, and the “forgotten” items was his tip. Watch for unusual billing and be sure to keep a menu to ensure you are...

Horrible experience! We ordered food over the phone, were told an amount and then when the driver got here it was double the price. The prices also didn’t match those of their online menu. Both the driver and our hotel manager were shocked by how much they were charging for 2 dishes. The driver, who was from an external delivery company, said it wasn’t the first time they tried to overcharge tourists. The staff was unkind and unhelpful and when we asked that they send us the menu with these prices they told the driver to return with the food.

Absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and the drinks sublime. A tiny bit more expensive than places either side but 100% worth it. The Garlic fish and shredded beef were both great choices and the cocktails excellently made. The service was impeccable and the vibe great. Should have taken a picture of the food before as the presentation was great but it smelled wonderful so I dived in too quickly! We went on a Saturday which is 2 4 1 on cocktails but 6 cocktails and two expensive mains came to less than $20. Worth every penny
