This place is stylish and well thought out (even the chef looks cool with his Handlebar moustache)
You forget you’re in Nicaragua for a moment if it wasn’t for the smiling, accommodating staff reminding you with their Nica warmth
The fare is modern European using local ingredients with a limited menu - as ever good restaurant should have - of around four to five options in each section We went for a starter, vegetable, main plato and of course dessert to share
We opted for meat this time round, but looking forward to try the seafood next time
The flavours were delicate yet packed a punch. The lamb was tender and sophisticated while feeling like a wholesome hug in a skillet and the vegetables were al dente with an extra crunchy twist: green beans with battered tiny onions and crispy bacon hints. The frangipani pecan pie to finish was bursting with nuts and warming, autumn flavours
And get this… even the wine is was good! The best copa de vino tinto we’ve had in Nicaragua. Too bad we were driving back to Managua and couldn’t enjoy more.
Our server Danilo was most gracious and made the evening complete with his warm smile and attentive service
We sat in the courtyard by the fountain, enjoying the little thoughtful touches throughout the restaurant that made it stand out
As it was the evening, my camera didn’t do the place justice in the low lighting so I haven’t added any pictures. Instead go ahead and try it for yourself for any small celebration - you...
Read moreThe atmosphere of this restaurant great, the decoration is well done and the staff were super attentive and kind. We went there due to lack of restaurant options in the city, and we had eaten at Garden cafe several times already. We were a group of 6 and ordered almost all the items in the menu. The food was highly presented, but most of the dishes were ok, nothing wow. At this price point there’s room for improvement (this place is priced 2x or 3x all other dining restaurants in the city). The food is 3 star or 4 star at best. The main reason I’m giving a 3 star was the Tri tip dish. The dish was suppose to be tritip beef, but instead it was thin sliced cold cuts. So after I had one piece, I asked the server if this dish is suppose to be served cold? And he said yes and offered to take it away. After a few minutes, he came back with the dish saying they won’t remove it from our check. I mean either leave the food on the table, or if you take it away don’t bring it back :D like basic stuff. Needless to say we spent almost 500$ US that night so it was kinda unnecessary to make a scene like that.
All in all, our favorite dish was the potato fries, they were done very well. The fish, the lamb stew, the steak, were all good/Ok...
Read moreWe had the most beautiful and delicious dinner here this evening and cannot express how fantastic it was.
My partner is vegan and the restaurant was incredibly accommodating to her, specifically making some special dishes and adapting many on the menu to be vegan friendly.
All of the food was exceptional, we had plantain, grilled aubergine, steak and an aubergine vegan special - all was absolutely delicious and the steak was by far one of the best I’ve ever had.
From the second we arrived the service was exceptional, the staff helped guide us through the menu very clearly and checked in regularly to make sure all was good.
There’s a really amazing drinks and cocktails menu and in the courtyard setting it felt really special and memorable.
We ordered 2 small plates, two mains and drinks and the overall total cost was around £70 GBP which in comparison to the UK (where we are from) is absurdly good value considering the standard of food coming from this amazing kitchen. We came away feeling very comfortably full!
If you’re in Granada GO HERE! Perfect date night or treat dinner spot. Huge thank you to the staff at NM Culinary, that was a meal we will...
