The decor is the first thing you will notice; it is gorgeous. A big fat thumbs up to the team. 👍🏽
The menu is tailored to ethnic roots (think local dishes). I recommend browsing the menu beforehand, as some staples may be missing due to their commitment to authenticity.
When it came to the food, I had a mixed experience. While the Edikaikong soup was not bad, the boiled plantain fell short of my expectations. The plantain was a bit tough, but my date's soup (I can't remember the name now, but see pictures) was excellent and served with pounded yam. 👏🏽
Also, the food took a looooooooong time to arrive. I am talking about over 1 hour here so it may be a good idea to snack before you come so tempers don't run high. 😁
Despite the hiccup with my dish, I had a great overall experience. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between a serene setting and cuisine that captures the essence of its theme.
I plan on returning to Ite Restaurant and will be sure to try a different dish.

Spicy, tasty, delicious, huge and presentation was on point. At first it was scary when I saw the waitress approach with a huge white bowl of soup, but upon first taste all I wanted was MORE. I couldn't finish this, so I had 2 pieces of fish here and took 4 pieces home.
My friend settled for the chicken nkwobi with white rice which was really new to me but it also tasted great.

It is one of the few restuarants on Providence street, Lekki Phase 1 and it serves Nigerian delicacies including palmwine, abacha and bole, and fish, Nwkobi etc.
My book club - The Passover Club - had our October book review here and we loved it.
It's cozy and beautiful, both the indoor and outdoor seating areas. Their space was customary designed and it says Nigerian. From the nice cravings on the tables to the lanterns on the wall.
We got to know that Ite means "pot" in Igbo language.
Staff were veey realiatic with hlw long we had to wait for our mels etc and they managed our expectatiins well.
