Gusto Abuja is a Rooftop Asian/Mediterranean indoor and outdoor restaurant located along Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent, Abuja. It's located on the fourth floor of the plaza. We didn't take a look at the outdoors during our last visit because we wanted a private dining experience which Gusto didn't fail at. The indoors were quite serene and the mixture of Indian music, rnb and acrobats made it really nice. The ambience is quite a replica of Gusto Lagos which is great for the brand, the furnishings and flooring were quite good. The indoors weren't crowded at all and the service was really good. From coming into the reception to being ushered to our table, to ordering our meals, to getting them. It was really great service. The food and drinks were also really good. We had appetizers with barbecue wings and Cooked Plantain Maki, then the Pineapple shrimp chicken fried rice and spaghetti bolognese mains and a cheesecake dessert. The meal was splendid. We enjoyed every bit of it. I'll definitely visit again and try the outdoors next time. Gusto Indoors is definitely recommended if you are looking for a fine dinning experience with a sprinkle of good not so boring music. A bit on the pricey side, but I had a really amazing time here. A good location for fine dining experience and date nights. 1. FOOD Oriental/asian cuisine specialty. Everything we got off the menu was a hit, except for the Chicken Alfredo pasta which if I’m being honest, I didn’t expect to be their forte. Plus, as an Asian themed restaurant, what is Chicken Alfredo doing on the menu? 2. SERVICE For the amount of money they are charging + VAT, you’d expect that the service would be topnotch, but it’s just basic. I see why people say this place is overrated. The waiters crowd around by the wall. No hot towels were given. 3. AMBIENCE I like that they have two contrasting ambiences, each equally as beautiful. On the inside, you have the more intimate plus resturant vibes going on, whilst outside you have the rooftop, lounge kinda vibes. Personally, once we were done with our meals, my party moved outside to enjoy our cocktails in the open air. It was a perfect night. Also, their music selections is top notch. Different music playing inside and outside. All these contribute in making the ambiance so great. I’d definitely be back again.

Location is central, in the heart of Wuse II, where everything is - Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent. It’s located on the topmost floor of a plaza (4th or 5th Floor) with an elevator which allows about 4 people per time. I opted to use the stairs which was fine until I got to the last flight that was cordoned off…bummer. It has indoor and outdoor options and sitting arrangements can be modified to suit guest size. Quite spacious. Music wasn’t great but was thankfully not eardrum rupturing. Waiters and staff were generally courteous. Wait time wasn’t bad - Took about 10 minutes for drinks to be served, 15 for starters and about 25 for food to arrive. Menu is vast, interesting and Asian-centric (IMO). I had Naija spicy prawns and mashed potatoes and it was deliciousssssss! Everyone else had Seafood Thai Pasta, Dragon Rolls, Alfredo Pasta and the enjoyed their meals. The fish and chips and Caesar Salad were just okay.. Average spend per head was about 50 - 60k

Stepping into the Gusto Abuja felt like entering a whimsical realm of magic and wonder. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was captivated by the enchanting ambiance and attention to detail. This extraordinary establishment truly delivered a dining experience unlike any other.

The decor transported me to a mystical land, with intricate tapestries, sparkling chandeliers, and fantastical sculptures adorning the space. The lighting was artfully done, creating an ambiance that was both cozy and ethereal. Every corner of the restaurant was thoughtfully designed, immersing diners in a world of fantasy.

The menu itself was a delightful fusion of creativity and culinary expertise. Each dish was crafted with imagination and presented with flair. From the moment I took my first bite, I was spellbound by the explosion of flavors and unique combinations. The chefs at the Gusto truly embraced the concept, incorporating magical elements into their dishes that delighted both the palate and the senses.

The service was exceptional, with staff members embodying the spirit of hospitality and enchantment. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful suggestions and explaining the intricate details of each dish. Their attentive and friendly demeanor added to the overall magical experience, making me feel like a cherished guest in a realm of fantasy.

What also impressed me was the attention to dietary restrictions and preferences. Gusto accommodated various dietary needs without compromising on taste or creativity. Whether you were a meat lover, a vegetarian, or had specific allergies, there were delectable options available to cater to everyone’s desires.

To complement the extraordinary dining experience, the drink menu offered an array of whimsical concoctions. From mystical potions to ethereal elixirs, each sip was a delightful adventure for the taste buds. The bartenders were skilled mixologists, creating imaginative and visually stunning drinks that added to the overall enchantment of the restaurant.

While dining at Gusto, time seemed to stand still as I embraced the magical atmosphere and savored every moment. It truly was an experience that transported me to a world of fantasy and culinary excellence.

In conclusion, the Gusto is a hidden gem that combines exceptional cuisine, imaginative ambiance, and impeccable service. Whether you’re seeking a memorable date night, a celebration, or simply a journey into a world of enchantment, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to have your senses awakened and your taste buds dazzled as you embark on a culinary adventure like no other.

A Restaurant Review – A Disappointing Iftar Experience at GUSTO

Last night, we had a highly disappointing experience at our iftar dinner, despite having made a reservation in advance. This was something we never expected from GUSTO. It shocked us, upset us deeply, and frankly, made us very angry.

Although we had booked in advance for iftar, the food was not served on time. Some dishes arrived late, while others were missing from the set iftar menu. This was both surprising and disappointing. Despite selecting one item from each category of the iftar menu, the dishes were not served correctly or on time, even after we repeatedly reminded the staff. The waiter did not apologize for the mistakes and behaved in an indifferent and careless manner, almost as if it were intentional.

One of the worst parts of the meal was the shrimp pasta, which was completely undercooked and tasted terrible. Additionally, although all seven of us had ordered desserts with ice cream as part of our iftar menu, they were not served properly, even after multiple requests. Instead, something completely unexpected and unrelated to the iftar menu—a dish of what seemed like milk-soaked bread balls—was brought to us, and it was absolutely terrible.

I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I used to love coming here. Last year, I had a great iftar experience with their open buffet. Outside of Ramadan, I have enjoyed their steak, sushi, and burgers. However, last night’s “Oriental Rice with Beef” was unacceptable. The meat in the dish was definitely not steak—I highly doubt it was fresh. It seemed like scraps of old meat, shredded and tossed onto the rice. The entire menu was a disaster, and I will certainly not recommend this...

AVOID!!!!!!! If i could give zero stars!!!!My first time to this place was yesterday. Booking this pace and seeing pictures and how expensive it is, I was excited to go have lunch with my friends. However I tell you, this place can poison someone. Their chicken for example had blood and was cold, how???? their steak which cost 35 was dry yet supposedly medium rare. Their squid tasted stale. Every thing said "you like time holding your stomach in the toilet" but I was hopeful.. over all service was poor and below average, except for one lady that was pleasant. they basically brought our steak to us raw and cold (we asked for medium rare). we sent it back asking for it to be medium well since they like blood. However, the waiter brought the plate back with the steak very dry and tasteless like cardboard but still pale in color. It was strange and we couldn't eat it. only to be told later when we complained that the chef did not do anything to it because the waiter asked him to make it medium rare AGAIN. so instead it was microwaved!!!!!! My pasta was way over cooked and not hot. almost like they store their food in the freezer and microwave on order. it was weird. As in the pasta was almost mushy. LISTEN LONG AND SHORT IS, AVOID THIS PLACE. I spent the whole night in the toilet, projecting from both ends. so did my friends. The food was really bad. I don't know how they can confidently charge what they do. They should be shut down before they...
