Had a terrible experience. I’ll give details First parking: Was not so bad. Ambience: Nicely done. But I think they focused too much on how the place looks and had completely forsaken the most important part. Which is the food. The food was horrible. Ordered the Alfredo pasta: this was dry as hell, the cream was completely coagulated and there was no mushrooms or anything in it. Just dried up pasta with coagulated cream. Second thing ordered was their chicken noodles. All I could taste was soy sauce. No seasoning whatsoever not spicy not flavourful. Just pasta drenched in soy stirred and served. The vegetables in the noodles were more than the noodles itself so all you’re getting are tasteless vegetables with soy noodles. Next is the egg fried rice that was just rice without eggs, it was okay; I mean, it’s very hard to mess up rice. Next was their chicken baguette sandwich. You could tell seasoning is their problem. And for some reason, they believe bell peppers are spicy. Imagine eating a food with no hint of spice, it’s gross. Customer service was good, not complaints there. But the food should be the highlight of this whole trip but it wasn’t. It was absolutely terrible. You guys...
Read moreWe recently dined at Citro Restaurant, and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. The ambiance was delightful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, and the staff were both attentive and friendly.
Now, let's talk about the food. My husband had the grilled croaker fish and Jollof rice, accompanied by fried sweet potatoes and plantains. The croaker fish was cooked to perfection, with a lovely smoky flavor, and the Jollof rice was rich and flavorful. The addition of fried sweet potatoes and plantains added a delightful contrast in texture and taste.
I ordered the T-bone steak, which came with a side of veggies, mashed potatoes, and mushroom sauce. The steak was beautifully seared, tender, and juicy. The combination of the creamy mashed potatoes and savory mushroom sauce was the perfect complement to the dish.
Overall, the culinary experience at Citro was outstanding, and I can't wait to return to try more of their enticing menu. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves delicious food with top-notch service, I highly recommend Citro. It's the perfect place for a memorable...
Read moreThe first time I came to Citro, the food was good. When I found out about their Sunday buffet, I came back with a few family members. The buffet was between 12pm -5pm, and it came with a bottle of water, other drinks were available for purchase. They had a good variety of foods, but this time, it was okay at best. I started off with the chicken pepper soup and puff puff, I tried the jollof rice and one of the salads as well. The grilled chicken and goat meat were both well seasoned, but too dry. The custom rigatoni pasta station had the options of marinara, pesto and Alfredo. I asked a combination of the pesto and Alfredo which was yum, it was probably my favorite meal there. It’s worth checking out but don’t expect to be blown away. The service was great. The waiters were all polite...
