Vino Bar — Restaurant in Ålesund

Visited Vino Bar twice over the Christmas and New Year period while visiting Alesund and surrounding areas. Alesund is generally quiet at this time of year but Vino Bar still had a buzz and a really nice atmosphere.

The staff deserve a special mention, especially one lady who was there both times we visited, was super friendly, and gave my wife and I great suggestions on what to drink, even suggesting some interesting new wines for us both.

This wine bar boasts a huge selection of wines from around the world. The atmosphere here is cozy and warm and we absolutely enjoyed our time there. The charcuterie board was great and recommended wines (we went by glass) were unique and tasty.

One thing to improve a bit is service - while it was friendly, we lacked attention and needed to search for our waitress to make an order.

Also, I belive in such places it's mandatory to offer unlimited water and make sure your customers always have a carafe or glasses full. While we were provided water on request - we had to ask for it and then...

Today we were lucky enough to find the VIN BAR in Alesund. What a great place, the highlight of the afternoon. If you are a wine lover this is a must while in town. Unbelievably huge wine list from all across the world and many by the glass options. You can see why they were awarded a Best Wine bar award in 2024.
