Don’t come here for the food.
It is an award-winning place for its brew selections, and was featured in the local newspaper for the recognition. But if you’re looking for quality/value for money from a food perspective, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
A gastro-pub looking place, with the food selection just ok. Our party of five had the Mexican burgers, the Chicken ones and the patatas bravas and fries. The burgers don’t come with fries, and they try to make you order a fries per person despite it being a separate menu item (duplicitous sevice irks me). Despite the European size servings, the burgers tasted just ok - not juicy and tender meat and if you didn’t have all the accoutrements like guacamole or nacho or saucy bits, the meat was just ok. People probably mainly come here to drink not eat.
The atmosphere was cool - shuffle board games at 4kr a minute — I don’t know of many places that charge by the minute — but hey.. and the locals obv come to hang out in this chic setting.
But don’t come for the food as we did. You’ll not be too satisfied. Gastro pub looking place which is...
Read moreNot as expected! Hip warehouse feeling with a big selection of craft beer that I hoped would impress me.. Which it regretfully did not. Foodwise we all went for the juicy burgers, but three out of three deemed the food a bit "off". Old bread for one, and an uncertain sweetnes to the flavour hard to describe. Crafty burgers that looked the part, but tasted like in a general gas station. Beer was cold, but served wrong. Alcohol free beer mixup ending up with one in the party sipping half a beer with alcohol in good faith. Not good enough! The service was under par as; coming off as stressed and with a lot of rushing back and forth. Did not make me feel at ease. Coffee was forgotten too, and we had to move away from our table 30 minutes earlier than we agreed when we sat down. It is strange to me that the service was so poor, in a place that serves such an easy menu and should be low key and comfortable. Food though, was not good enough last night, and that, in addition to messing up non-alco with alco in a stressful manner, sums up in me not coming back and not recommending it to my...
Read moreSearching for a good brewery in Norway, this is one of the closest ones to the beers in the great NW (Washington). The Giske Garor starts well, however it finishes with a sour note. I would almost consider this a sour beer, some like them, I am not one of those. The Cascading Lager, very dark for a Lager, had a hint of fruity, not what I would normally like in my beers, but it was good. The High and Dry, a little low IBU for an IPA, but it was good, would definitely order it again. The Hazy Dayz pale ale, probably my favorite. Hazy beers have been in Washington for over 2 years and I refuse to get on the bandwagon, I like my IPAs and Pale Ales, clean and crisp, that being said I'm not sure I could pick a Hazy from a regular IPA in a blindfold taste test, but I just can't get over the visual aspect of a Hazy. I'm really just happy to not be drinking another Hansas. And the burger and...
