No Stress Bergen — Restaurant in Bergen

We tried getting drinks at the bar in May 2023. The bartender told us that the place was full and he couldnt serve us as it would violate the local fire safety norms. We took that as a geniune reason and were walking out sighting that the bar was packed.

But while going out we saw that the same bartender was serving the next group that came to him. Seeing this we walked up to the bartender again demanding drinks. But he was consistently ignoring us the whole time.

We understood there itself that he was discriminating against us and that some groups/nationalities are not welcomed by the bar. I never expected discrimination to be a practice in a peaceful country like Norway. I would sincerely request everyone reading this review to go to other bars instead, but alas everyone is free to choose whichever bars they like. Just wanted to share...

Had two nights in Bergen during a solo road trip around Norway and was recommended this place by a friend who used to lived here. Absolutely fantastic, great music and atmosphere and certainly lives up to its name. Whilst everything I tried was delicious I thought one of the cocktails was probably the best I've ever had (the Not From Paris Madame). As I'd had a few drinks over the day had to go back the second night to double check; I'm glad to say it really was just as good. Connor and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming, great skill and obvious that they care about their craft. Put this one on your list as a highlight/must do when you visit this great city as I'd be happy to come back to Bergen again...

came there after an xmas party and happened to have a gong with me. the bouncer said «no playing the gong» and i agreed. i walked in and the other guest seemed amused at me bringing a gong so i gave it a quick wap and muted it immediately. tried to order a beer and the bartender seemed pissed and talked to the bouncer who probably shared the aforentioned agreement bc he came back and said «you werent supposed to play the gong» and then after i promised it wouldnt happen again still refused service for me and my coworkers. i have never failed a vibe check so bad and feel bad but would have liked a second chance. anyway leave your gongs at home. probably a cool place...
