Went there to try out the food since we were recommended the place. Arrived when there were only a few other guests and told them we would be out in less than an hour as we had other plans scheduled (as some of the tables were reserved).

Ordered the food and waited for almost 40 minutes. Then the waiter tells us that oops, the order was never sent to the kitchen but they could make it in 10-15 minutes. That would leave us with only 10 minutes to eat, so we said that we didn’t have time for that and left.

We tried getting the attention of the waiter way before this to ask about the food (since we had already waited a long time), but they didn’t pay any attention. It was also hard to get their attention when we were ready to put the order in as they were busy using their phone.

I understand that mistakes can happen, but how do you not notice that the order hasn’t even been sent to the kitchen for 40 minutes? Or even bother checking when that much...

During our short stay in Bergen, we had a not so good dinner last night and were in need of a comforting, hot meal that reminded us of home. We asked a local for a good Italian pizza place and were directed to Porto 13. The local's recommendation was spot on - we had classic Italian thin-crust pizzas that were devoured within 30 minutes. We also tried the chicken pesto pasta dish, which was creamy and delicious, although it could have had more chicken pieces. The mushrooms added a nice flavor. The prices were a bit on the pricey side, but considering we were in Norway, we expected that. The service was good, the atmosphere had a nice Italian theme, and we enjoyed the Italian music playing.
