We booked table at Olivia for our 7th year anniversary today.Arrived 5mins before the reservation. We were seated and given menus directly.Noticed numbers of servers/waiters in the restaurant but no one came to us and get our orders,it took 15mins and i had to call one and say we are ready. Our orders was taken giving the note to serve the drinks together the food, waitress was just nodding and i was hoping it was aknowledged.Again we have to call another attention of a waiter to atleast have water and glasses in our table.Waited 20mins here comes the drinks served first from a nodding waitress earlier.Waited 45mins and still didnt have our food (main course).Have to call another waiter and ask if there is any problem with their kitchen coz my kids are so hungry and havent had any of their food yet. They should atleast inform guests of their delay of food service.I was answered ‘Yes but you have already got your first servings!”Wow what an amazing dining we had!Very poor service!Never get any courtesy of by just saying yes maam/sir i will check your food! and ill get back to you very soon! They’re like ghost walking around the restaurant not doing any initiative on checking what other guests need if their dining expectations were met.I set so high expectation to this restaurant from their good food and nice ambiance..But service...

Even before I get my food, this place is stressful. There is so much loud music, there is a lot of noise and loud talking. I get a seat right next to a cupboard. Where the staff run to get cutlery all the time. There is no room to relax or enjoy the surroundings. When I ask to get another table they say they will help me, but I don't get it. They blame it on everything being ordered. But there are free tables in several places in the restaurant. The cola I drink with food is dispenser soda. Completely without carbonation or the taste of cola. When I give notice of this, I will be served a glass of water. Olivia Bodø has a lot to gain from service. And should look elsewhere. This is tragic and embarrassing for them. The pizza I order bears the stamp of being rushed. Clearly no effort has been put into making it. The pizza is a chewy lump of dough. When I give notice of this, I am told that they must inform the kitchen. Not getting anything more out of this.
Olivia is good elsewhere. However, I recommend steering clear of Olivia Bodø. Their lack of service. Poorly prepared food, and the ability not to help, I give the dice a 1. Would recommend the pizza at Bjørk across the street.

Read moreWe first stumbled upon Olivia when we got to Bodø and we’re looking for a place to eat. Olivia was one of the very few restaurants that was open around lunchtime. Glad we walked in. We had a great frittata. This restaurant is fairly new to Bodø, but was packed with tourists and locals. We left the following day to Lofoten.
Had to come back to Olivia when we returned to Bodø. This time we came for dinner. I was definitely craving some good Italian food.
We were quite hungry after a full day of hiking. Our waiter recommended a few of his favorite appetizers. We had Focaccia sarda (focaccia stuffed with cheese. Nom) Fried artichoke and a nice big Antipasto plate.
I had the linguine di mare and it was delicious. We also had a few pizzas.
Overall- great service and ambiance. The lighting was spot on as was the music. Our waiters were very friendly.
We left full and happy. Glad we found this place. We were quite happy to learn that Olivia has several restaurants in Norway. We will be on the lookout for...
