As you can tell from my name, I’m Korean. My partner and I have been craving authentic Korean fried chicken or just even really good fried chicken in Norway for some time now so when we heard a kfc place opened up in Lillestrøm, we had to go try it! We brought 3 friends with us, so we got to try every single flavour of the boneless chicken and the service was impeccable.
First off, I can say it’s definitely authentic kfc, with even more freshness and high quality ingredients you don’t get by ordering from big chain kfc restaurants in Korea 🙌🏻
The flavours were slightly different than what Im used to, like instead of Soy Garlic, they would have Garlic Mayo and Honey soy. Im not a fan of very sweet chicken which the Honey soy was, but the garlic mayo chicken was so delicious! The sauce was refreshing, different but really yummy and goes well with the chicken. All the other flavours were so good we had a hard time choosing our favourites. We all loved the authentic yangnyeom chicken, you cant go wrong with that choice 💯. We also loved the spicy one for some kick.
Even the pink pickled radish was delicious with the rhubarb taste really coming through! Great idea by the chef. So much better than the regular pickled radish that comes with the kfc in Korea tbh😍
This place is family owned and the service was honestly the best that I have experienced in Norway. The owners were super friendly, thoughtful and generous. At the end, two of us even ordered more chicken for takeout to bring home 😂 and they packed the sauce and radish separately and even packed the hand wipes and extra chicken when the kind we ordered was sold out 🥺 so sweet.
Will definitely be back and spread the word to my friends and colleagues about this wonderful restaurant 🤗 thank you for the delicious food and amazing service!...
Read moreMy recent visit to 175°C Korean Fried Chicken was absolutely delightful. From the moment we entered, the staff provided exceptional service, and the chicken they served was beyond delicious. We had the pleasure of trying their honey soy chicken and yangnyeom chicken, which were both fantastic. However, the yangnyeom chicken truly stole the show with its irresistible flavors.
While the prices may lean towards the higher side, I firmly believe that the experience is worth every penny. Not only were the portions generous, but the menu also offered additional treats like fried dumplings and fries. These delectable sides perfectly complemented the flavorful chicken and added variety to the overall dining experience.
Although the menu may not be extensive, with a focus on three chicken types and three different sauces, it's important to note that the quality and attention to detail shine through in every dish. The limited options showcase the restaurant's commitment to perfecting their specialties, ensuring that each bite is an absolute delight.
To all fellow Korean fried chicken enthusiasts, I highly recommend 175°C. With their exceptional service, mouthwatering chicken, and enticing sides like fried dumplings and fries, this place has all the ingredients for a memorable dining experience. Treat yourself and indulge in their delicious offerings—you won't be...
Read moreSo happy we walked passed yesterday and decided to eat there the day after. We tried a little of almost everything of the side dishes on the menu. We selected boneless chicken and I really loved the flavour and texture. Very juicy meat and crispy on the outside. My favorite sause was Garlic Mayo.
Staff was very kind and even with the place being busy we did not feel like we waited long for the food.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. Even my boyfriend stated that it is the first time that he feels like he is home in South Korea while being in Norway. Haha wish the prices were the same aswell as the decorations 😆
Would definitely return when I am in Oslo again. Next time I want to enjoy fried chicken and a cold beer. Really recommend people to visit and experience it for themselves.
+Also really fun that they have a photo booth "life4cut" connected to the restaurant. A super nice way to capture some fun memories with friends or family.
Update: Second visit while in Oslo. Food and atmosphere is still great. Really loved the freshness of the homemade pickled cucumber and radish together with the boneless chicken 🥰 Boyfriend favorite is the Crispy K-fried...
