I just had the best breakfast of my entire trip in Norway at this little quiet cafe I stumbled on across from my hostel. I got the omelet with bacon and brie and a cappuccino, all for 259k! Pretty much a steal in Oslo. The ambience was so peaceful, with piano music playing and tons of plants and art everywhere. I especially need to shout out the “side salad” that came with my meal: this was a full on superb romaine salad loaded with sprouts, beets, snap peas, radishes, red peppers, avocado, and pomegranate seeds. All in all, this meal blew me away, I can’t say enough...

Det grønne kjøkken (the green kitchen) is Great if you don’t want a to crowded place. I ordered the omelet with ham and cheese. It was served with rye bread and a salad. The ginger+citrus thea was fantastic.

The window and the vase at our table was dirty with a lot of flies. This make me wonder how clean the kitchen is…

Ok food, but pricy to pay 149 kr for a very ordinary omelet with very little taste.

If you are part of the ecological movement this is for you, but for everyone else you get much more for you bucks at the food court at Sten and Strøm...

Tried the avocado toast and a latte here today. Disappointing.

The avocado mash and cucumber had a strong “fridge” smell, and the avocado was so brown it honestly felt like leftovers from yesterday. The pastry itself was stale and old, and I couldn’t finish it.

The latte was good though, but if I’m paying 179 NOK just for avocado toast, I believe it should be fresh and good quality. Unfortunately, this wasn’t. Not planning to return…

Hope others have a better experience and the owner takes these...
