Super cool spot to hang out for an evening with friends. They have tons of games that you can use or you can bring in your own. It's very cheap to enter and since you can bring your own snacks it's a really good deal. We bought some drinks there and the staff were nice and helpful, even allowing us to use their portable speaker for one of the games we played that needed it. We booked a table on a Thursday night and while there were still a few tables that were empty, it is recommended to book ahead of time if you have a somewhat large group.

Super great place!! We've been there more than 10 times this year and will keep going. They have a lot of games and more importantly, in top notch conditions. The people working are very friendly and helpful :) The drink selection is very broad and the cocktails very tasty. Some tables are a bit too small for the more complex game if you are just 2 or 3 people. Food selection is very limited, but you can take your own with you!

A superb place to enjoy both familiar and unfamiliar games. We spent the entire evening testing several games, and finally ending the evening with a game we've played a few times before. You might consider eating somewhere before arriving though, as the toast won't fill your stomach enough for a seven hour gaming spree.

I was totally surprised by the size of this board game café: they have a lot of space on two floors with well placed tables of various sizes that support anything from small 2-player games to huge table hogs. The atmosphere is very nice, only the lighting could be a bit brighter in some corners.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The entry/sitting fee is rather cheap for Oslo. The selection of board games is very good, especially for expert players looking for more complex titles. The games were mainly in English as far as I've seen.

Contrary to other such venues I had visited before, Spilloteket does not seem to employ people who explain the games to you. The person at the bar just gave us a quick intro where and how to find games but then we were on our own (which was super ok for us, I just want to manage expectations here. We did not inquire about further help, so maybe we would have got more handholding if we needed it).

I definitely recommend Spilloteket to everyone who likes board games and wants to have a good time...

We were so happy to find such an amazing board game bar in Oslo! It may be the best board game bar in the world.

We are visiting from the US and we love board games. My husband googled board game bar when we were here and bored one night and we got very lucky that a table was available when we walked in on an incredibly busy Friday night.

Everyone who works here is so nice! We don’t drink alcohol and the Escape from the Shirley Temple was an incredible mocktail.

The game selection is amazing! I can’t believe they already had the Slay the Spire board game which came out less than a year ago.

We played a fun game with some locals who taught us a game we didn’t know, and that was extra special.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I highly recommend visiting and I especially recommend making a...
