As part of the Oslo Fetish Week, I got my boys here, as recommended by a dear friend - as a Leatherman into Heavy Metal I needed to be away from the usual gay venues with its horrendous dance 'music' so went straight to here - and we had an excellent time! Thanks to the seriously beautiful playing country-folk band and the sweet and chatty locals, it was a pure stressless chilled atmosphere, just what we were after (especially when you're used to the noise levels in London 😒). Many thanks to the awesome staff at Revolver, you made this a memorable eve for all of us, skål! 🍻 🤟🙏

The bar at the front is okay on its own and it has a good atmosphere. The real gem is hidden round the back and in the basement though! Small and intimate but wow it delivered a crazy good music experience. The two DJ's delivered a blistering housemusic experience. Very chilled and just a great vibe. Thank you.

Really nice place. Friendly bar staff, had a great chat with the barman/manager(?). Nice varied choice of music,a d.j. was playing on the night we went. Good choice of drinks (I'd recommend the Dan Miguel which they make out back, very tasty) and reasonable prices. Friendly atmosphere overall.

EDIT: The staff in the pub in the first floor is amazing, always smiling and making a welcoming atmosphere.

This is a little pearl in the chaotic down town Oslo.

Revolver basement is same people but different style bar/concert venue.

Buy tickets in advance and show up at least a half hour before you think the band will start playing. People usually flock close to the entrance but no worries.

Don't exaggerate your dancing/moshing though, the risk of getting pushed and falling over the Monitor and on to the bass players shoes are high.

If I won the lottery I would go to all the concerts they arrange.

The booking crew are top notch.

Yes I love Revolver, or "Rævva/REVVA?" as some people call it.

Revolver is rock & roll

For metal visit "Kniven/knife/Messer" in the same building.

After an amazing show with Hamferð and Svartmálm (doom-metal - black-metal acts) the venue puts on a DJ playing some techno dance music. This was such an anti climax to an otherwise awesome night. It destroyed the atmosphere and whoever made that choice must have been high put of his mind, and should get another job. This alone makes me want to rate it 1/5 instead of 5/5. This also made me leave right after and most of the other guests left as well. I am reluctant going there again as I like to hang around after a good gig and continue to enjoy the good vibe and have some more beers with my friends, and not have some rave-people up on my face killing the good vibe of the night up until that point. 4/5 only because of the supreme quality...
