This is not the Brazilian experience you are looking for....
Great expectations, finally trying Trondheims own churrascaria, hoping for non-stop excellent meats, bringing back the feeling from years as expatriate in Rio and those great times at Fogo do Chao in Sao Paulo with the family and friends. Well this is not it...
For starters, the farofa is a complete disgrace, have they just mixed ingredients dry? It is strange, cuz good farofa is not hard to make! This stuff was terrible!
Also, there was no pao the queijo, the vinagrete was way too sour, and the fried kassava was rock hard (did they boil it at all before frying?!)
The meats... so, the meat was not arriving non-stop (it should, in a churrascaria proper the waiters would take pride in a never ending stream of meats, queing up with new alternatives...but here we waited.. and waited). It was as if they hope you will eat your fill on the cheaper sidedishes...? Then, when we finally got meat, it was a dissapointment. I found it strangely tasteless, exept for the first serving of picanha seemed to lack salt and I suspect prepared with some other kind of marinade (not good). The chicken was burned, the meat overcooked, and there is no costella on the menu.. something I think any real gaucho would be shamed to say..
As for the atmosphere, when we arrived several tables had not been cleaned, the menu was full of fat/stains, the waiter was friendly enough, but it is annoying that so called gaucho waiters does not even know the name of the meats they are serving.
All in all, NOT...
Read moreA great place to go if you're looking for good quality meat in all-you-can-eat quantities. We chose the brasilian experience (595kr per person). You first go to the buffet to get side dishes, and then waiters come to your table with skewers of meat. The sides aren't special, mostly just beans and potatoes and salad, but I do recommend getting the sauces. The meat on the other hand, was perfectly cooked and very juicy. It was mostly red meat, but there were two different types of sausages, chicken thighs, and grilled pineapple as well. It took a very long time for the meat dishes to reach our table, and service was quite slow overall, despite the restaurant being half full. Overall the meat was good but it took so long to get the meat that our sides were cold.
I got the chocolate fondant for dessert, which was fine. Also be aware that when they come around with the meat, the juices are going to drip everywhere so don't wear anything you're very fond of, and make sure your coats or purses are off to the side, as some of our coats now have juice spots. Overall, the food was good but I wouldn't come back due to the service and the...

Food: Had a Friday dinner buffet. The side dish selection is poor, and the sides are not particularly exciting either. The meats are brought to the table by staff walking around; it is advertised there are 12 varieties of meat, but it didn't seem to be that many, and we were repetitively offered the same few varieties and had to request another more than once. The meats overall were good, though a bit too salty and otherwise not really matching the expectation of the Brasilian friend I went out with. Selection of beers is OK, but not amazing, and there was no Brasilian beer available.
Service: The staff delivering meats were friendly. Otherwise, the service was very inattentive, we had to wave intensely to grab their attention to order more drinks. They were not proactive at checking how we were doing.
Atmosphere: The interior is dark and with no particular atmosphere, didn't strike as Brasilian in terms of decor and background music.
Overall, your typical restaurant in Norway: dull, low quality, excessive price. We paid almost 2k NOK for two buffets with 5 beers. Definitely...
