Nestled in the vibrant Solsiden district of Trondheim, Una Pizzeria Bar is a delightful haven for pizza aficionados and casual diners alike. My recent visit to this charming establishment exceeded all expectations and left me eager to return for more. Ambiance: Una Pizzeria Bar boasts a warm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly balances modern design with rustic charm. The open layout allows for an inviting space where diners can enjoy a lively ambiance while catching glimpses of the chefs at work. The combination of wood accents, warm lighting, and vibrant artwork creates a comfortable yet stylish setting. Service: The service at Una is exceptional. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. They provided insightful recommendations and ensured our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. Their passion for the food and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stands out. Cuisine: The star of the show, of course, is the pizza. Una offers a tantalizing variety of wood-fired pizzas, each made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I opted for the classic Margherita, and it was nothing short of perfection. The crust was perfectly charred with a delightful chewiness, while the rich tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella created a harmonious flavor profile. My dining companion chose the "Trondheim Special," featuring locally sourced ingredients, and it was equally impressive. Each bite was bursting with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to quality and creativity. In addition to pizza, Una offers an enticing selection of appetizers and desserts. The garlic bread was a perfect start to the meal, and we couldn't resist trying the homemade tiramisu for dessert—decadent and delicious! Overall Experience: Una Pizzeria Bar is a must-visit destination in Trondheim for anyone seeking an authentic and delightful pizza experience. With its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and exceptional cuisine, it's a place that caters to everyone—from families to couples looking for a romantic night out. I left feeling completely satisfied and excited to come back and explore more of their menu. Highly...
Read moresimply a terrible experience. we visited Una as a group of eight chefs from several local restaurants that regularly dine together. to begin with we were standing at the door waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes, unusual, considering the restaurant was fairly empty. after having a drink and ordering our food, we spent a fair amount of time fending off barrages of constant upselling as we tried to keep a conversation. when the food arrived, one of our party did not recieve his food, he asked the waiter if his food will arrive soon, to be told he didnt order anything, which is a very poor and arrogant attempt at shifting blame onto a customer. he placed his order again, only for the waiter to come back a few minutes later to tell him the kitchen had closed and wont make him his order. we asked to speak with the manager, who apologised very unsincerely, then ran off quickly with no offer of recompense or explanation as to why his chefs couldnt manage to fix one more plate of food. from our own experience in the restaurant industry, a customer recieving no food, without a spectacularly good reason is the biggest fail possible. but, it was fairly clear, lazy chefs, and a weak manager unable to control them, resulted in one of the worst dining experiences we have had in trondheim. the food that did arrive was actually...
Read moreAbove average pizza simply from the fact that they use a good oven. I ordered a Pizza Indiavolata which arrived after about 5 minutes (thanks to the good oven). Immediately I could see that I was probably going to be disappointed; What looked to be standard industrial pizza sausage slices, too much "cheese", something that had once been olives and slices of red onions on a bed of tomato sauce. I couldn't see or taste the Pecorino cheese. The taste was really sour and had an after taste like one of the ingredients was off. The sausage was supposed to be Salame Calabrese but I couldn't taste even the slightest hint of Fennel. It was a dry salame though and not the substitute I had feared. The sour taste was probably caused by the red onion which, although it looks good, tends to taste sour when cooked. Yellow onion would have been better suited. The tomato sauce was a bit sour too. Probably under cooked (if at all). The cheese was advertised as fresh Mozarella, but looked and tasted like industrial processed pizza cheese. The pizza bed was slightly under cooked but actually the best part of the meal. To drink I had a Peroni - it tasted like beer...The service was fine and to their credit I was offered another pizza when I expressed my...
