I have always been a regular visitor to Barbeque Nation, but this time, my experience was quite disappointing. We went for the Iftar buffet, expecting a good spread, but there was nothing special apart from some fruits on our table. Most of the snack trays were empty when we tried to take food, and no one seemed to be refilling them promptly.
I had ordered pasta, and the staff assured me they would serve it at my table. However, after waiting for more than 15 minutes, I went back to check, only to find the staff serving someone else. When I reminded him, he again promised to bring it but ended up delivering the wrong pasta. I had to go back and get it changed for my kids.
Later, my wife wanted noodles, so I went to the live kitchen to order. The chef, Abhishek (if I recall correctly), told me that an order was already in progress and it would take some time. I agreed and requested him to serve us after finishing the pending order. However, despite waiting for more than half an hour, the noodles never arrived. When I checked with a waiter, he said he would look into it, but nothing happened.
By the time we finished our dessert, I told them to cancel the noodles to avoid food wastage. Even then, it took another 10 minutes, and finally, the staff came back, saying they had forgotten and had just prepared it now.
Overall, this experience was frustrating, and I feel Barbeque Nation needs to improve its service and management, especially during peak hours. The staff should be more attentive, and food refills should be managed efficiently. Hopefully, they take feedback seriously and work on...
Read moreWe recently visited Barbeque Nation in Muscat for their dinner buffet, and overall, it was a satisfying experience with a few standout highlights.
The grilled items, especially the prawns, were absolutely superb – I honestly lost count of how many I ate! They were juicy, well-seasoned, and grilled to perfection. On the flip side, the kebabs were underwhelming. I’ve had better versions elsewhere, and these didn’t quite hit the mark.
Being located in a mall, the parking was convenient, which is always a plus. The buffet started with a hot and sour chicken soup that was pretty good – flavorful and warming.
There were two varieties of rice in the main course, and though the spread was decent, some basics like chapatis weren’t kept on the table and had to be requested. There was also a live kitchen, which added a fun interactive element to the meal.
The dessert section was massive – a great way to wrap up the meal with lots of sweet options to choose from.
A special mention goes to the staff, who were courteous, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth. We also noticed they had a birthday offer for kids, which is a nice touch for families celebrating a special day.
All in all, a good buffet experience – especially for seafood lovers – with room for a few improvements in the...
Read moreBeing a frequent customer of the restaurant, we have experienced high standards of ambience and food quality here. The buffet offered by them includes live grills, Indian chaat, couple of soups, salads, main course and desserts. Chaat gives us options such as gol gappe/pani puri, papdi chaat, BHEL puri etc. variety of stick kulfi ( chocolate/malai/paan/kesar pista/mango) served with gulkand/rose/chocolate icing are our family favorites. Even the jalebi with rabri is awesome. This month they added some attractions such as mehendi and laakh chudiyan. Some menu additions such as Afghani kofta/Raan peshawari/ Rohu/ kulhad tea added to the experience. Other thing worth mentioning is the service. All their staffs are quick and almost everytime we were assigned Mr Ram to take care of us. They bring the counter menu items to the table if needed. Kebabs often need time and so we could come back to table and those were served by them. Their customer care team always contacts us a day after our visit to restaurant to know about dining experience. This speaks high of their professional attitude. Even my parents whenever visit Oman prefer to go to the restaurant at least once . Hope they keep up with their good work....
