Visited Sultan Chef, located in Opera, yesterday for lunch. The ambience and location were both lovely. I was craving a steak, so on the recommendation of the waitress—since I didn’t want anything too big—I ordered the Beef Entrecote, a beef ribeye steak. It was served with a creamy spinach sauce and baked potato, which I chose instead of French fries. The steak was good—nicely done, though not the best I’ve ever had. My friend ordered her regular favourite, the Sultan Chef Burger, which she absolutely loved. For dessert, we went for Turkish tea and coffee, along with Turkish baklava with ice cream. I'm usually not a dessert or ice cream person, but I genuinely enjoyed it. It felt just like a sweet treat straight from Turkey! As for the service, I feel there’s room for a little improvement, especially in terms of attentiveness and providing helpful suggestions—something you'd usually expect at a fine dining restaurant. Alhamdulillah, there was nothing major, just a couple of small observations: When I asked the waitress to recommend the best steak that wasn’t too large, she initially kept pointing me back to the menu and seemed busy to explain. I had to explain that the menu doesn’t highlight bestsellers or help with portion sizes. Eventually, she did recommend the steak I ended up liking—so I’m thankful for that. Also, when ordering, I wish I had been informed about the side options—like sticking to French fries or choosing different sauces for the steak. I had to walk up to another waiter, who was busy, to request those changes. Although these were minor things, I believe such details make a difference in the overall experience, especially at a fine dining spot. That said, I’d still highly recommend the restaurant for its great atmosphere, good food, and unique...

Sultan Chef at the Muscat Opera Galleria offers an exceptional dining experience that blends authentic Turkish cuisine with top-notch service.

The quality of the food is outstanding – the meats are perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. Their signature dishes, like the Sultan Special Kebab and the mouthwatering Lamb Chops, are a must-try. Don’t miss their Turkish burgers we tried almost all of them and they never disappointed.

The restaurant’s ambiance, with its elegant décor and open kitchen, enhances the overall experience. Perfect for family gatherings or a special night out.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Turkish flavors in a...

I recently visited Sultan Chef at the Royal Opera House Muscat, and my experience was a mix of good and bad.

On the positive side, the goat cheese salad was fresh and well-balanced, and the stuffed kofta was flavorful and well-prepared. These two dishes stood out as highlights of the meal.

However, the steak burger was disappointing and not to my liking. Whether it was the texture, seasoning, or overall execution, it didn’t meet my expectations, especially given the restaurant’s reputation.

Overall, while some dishes were enjoyable, the experience was inconsistent. If you visit, I’d recommend the kofta and salad but would skip the...
