There are very few restaurant which master to provide outstanding fish and meat dishes at the same time, combined with great siders and good service. The Turkish House in Muscat provides all that. Starting with some appetizers, the restaurant provides an outstanding baba ganoush, which I haven’t had in such a combination. The spicyness and the tomato-aspects of the mousse were outstanding. Tabouleh is also something you should try, as it tastes perfectly, with the right amount of lemon. Lastly, the bread. How can I describe this bread. Soft, tasty, warm, just sensational really. It fits perfectly with anything you order, no matter if it’s a dip for the baba ganoush, or the sauce of your piece of meat. As main dishes we had fried fish (Sultan Ibrahim), fried calamari rings, and lamb chops. Wow. Calamari rings were on point, as well as the fried fish. Perfectly cooked. The lamb chops were wonderfully grilled, with a tasty note around the bone, but soft when it comes to the meat. As desert we had Kanufa with tea, which was the perfect ending of the feast. I cannot remember being so full after dinner, but also can’t remember when I was eating so good the last time. One tip also: juices are really good. I had the special house juice (mango) and it was so creamy I can’t forget it! Prices are fair, even if they look high on the first look. The portions are HUGE, and taste and quality are exceptional, and that’s what you pay for. Service, as mentioned, really friendly! Sensational experience!

I recently visited Turkish House Restaurant in Al Khuwair, Muscat, and had a delightful dining experience. The restaurant features three separate indoor sections and outdoor seating arrangements, all of which are well-maintained with indoor and outdoor plants, adding to the ambiance. The majority of the serving and counter staff appear to be from Turkey, judging by their appearance. They are smart and efficient, though initially, a smile was missing. This could be due to their long working hours and the late hour of our visit (around 10:00 pm). We ordered a couple of dishes, which were delivered promptly. The taste was truly mouth-watering, and I enjoyed every bite. The mixed appetizer, in particular, was outstanding. Although the prices are a bit on the higher side, they are justified by the quality of the food. As we were leaving the restaurant, I took a moment to praise the serving staff for the excellent food, and this elicited a beaming, bright smile from them, adding a wonderful end to our visit. I also complimented the counter staff, who responded with a great smile. Overall, my experience at Turkish House Restaurant was very positive. The delicious food, efficient service, and pleasant atmosphere make it a highly recommended dining spot in Muscat.

The highlight of my meal at the Turkish House restaurant was undoubtedly the seafood, specifically the shrimps and hamoor fish. Both were prepared to perfection and left me craving for more. The flavors were exquisite, and I couldn't have asked for better seafood. However, I was quite disappointed with the appetizers. They fell below my expectations, lacking the same level of flavor and quality that the main dishes offered. In particular, the calamari was overly chewy, making it a less enjoyable part of the meal. One aspect that significantly marred my dining experience was the service level. There was a long wait to be seated, and the staff didn't seem very friendly or accommodating. The seating areas were also disorganized, which added to the frustration. In conclusion, I would recommend the Turkish House restaurant solely for the excellent fish dishes. If you're a seafood enthusiast, it might be worth a visit. However, considering the subpar appetizers and the poor service, I would personally opt to spend my money at a different restaurant with a more well-rounded dining experience.

Undoubtedly Muscat's best Turkish cuisine restaurant They have three outlets in the vicinity. Two are for casual dining, and one is set up like a bakery, where you can have Shawarma and desserts. The back restaurant has been remodelled and provides a lively vibe. The hospitality is warm and service is quick. They serve soft fluffy golden flat Turkish bread which is complimentary. The place is always jam-packed Professional chefs prepare delectable, fresh meals. The cheese borek roll is worth tasting as it is crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside The mix grilled platter have assorted turkish super soft tender juicy melting chicken Tikka and minced kebab (lamb and chicken) along with kibbeh and aryaes. This places gives you authentic Turkish vibe and flavours.I even like the flavourful mix appetizers. One thing i wana add that chicken they use is of better quality and is not at all smelly like many grilled food selling shops in the city. They also serve perfectly grilled succulent fresh shrimp/prawn and fish which I definitely gona try in next visit.Must visit place!!!!!!

I'm a regular customer to Turkish house and It never fails to deliver on fresh, good quality and delicious food. Service is also very good, even on a busy day, the waiters as well as the owners are quick to attend to customers. Try the appetizer sampler, if you dont have any specific favorites, but my personal favorites are their hummos and baba ganogh. Fried fish is sublime here and all seafood items are without the "fishy" taste or smell. Grilled squid or cuttlefish is a must try. I also recommend the Oven baked fish ( or any seafood on display). The turkish bread perfectly pairs with the tomatoe based au jus of this dish. They also have a good meat selection, and their grill lamb chops are quiet excellent. To quench your thirst, try their mint lemon drink. Its really refreshing and perfect during hot summer months. For dessert try their kunafa. The creamy, stringy cheese is a delicious! Price is also reasonable.
