The place lives up to its name - in terms of steaks, at least. Ordered Chilli Garlic Prawns as a starter, the prawns were cooked perfectly but the seasoning and sauce was pretty bland - herbs and chilli flakes mixed in oil tend to neither be very flavourful nor spicy, simply oily. There was a side of fries and a cucumber tomato salad drizzled with chilli sauce. Nothing worth commenting on. The steaks were the real deal though. The ribeye (bone-in) was superb, that rich buttery taste and smooth texture really stood out and was incredibly juicy. The temperature was medium rare, though it was slightly uneven in its cook but that didn't take away from the flavour. The tenderloin was pretty tasty too. Medium well, so a little dryness was expected. Both had fries and mixed veggies served on the side which were nice, but again, nothing worth commenting on. There were three sauce: a garlic butter, a mushroom sauce and a cream sauce. The butter was amazing. The cream fell short. Lady Blue and Mint Margarita, the drinks, were pretty on point as well. Service was good, not much of an ambiance as it was day time with outdoor seating but overall quite nice. Will definitely visit again to try more of their cuts.

Dined at Porterhouse based on good feedback and a first time visit. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. We ordered two dishes: the tenderloin beefsteak and the mexican chicken steak. The tenderloin beefsteak was extremely bland and underwhelming, lacking any depth of flavor or seasoning, which was disappointing given our expectations. However, the bigger issue was with the mexican chicken steak. When it was first served, it had a raw smell and was wet, making it completely inedible. We had to send it back to the kitchen. When the dish was returned the second time, while the chicken was grilled properly, the sauce carried a distinct raw chicken taste that made it impossible to eat. It was, again, unedible, and we had no choice but to send it back once more. It really wasn’t possible to eat at all so we left. Overall, this was a disappointing dining experience, and given the consistent issues with food quality, I would NOT recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

AUTHENTIC steak!!! Something that's been hard to find in Islamabad. If you're sick of the desi-style saalan-walay steaks with weird names like Pepper steak, Fiery steak, Mexican steak, Bullhorn steak (no kidding), this is the place for you. They do a mean medium rare - check out the photo. It's pink, it's juicy, it's soft... just melts in your mouth! I've always believed that good butchers do the best steaks, cuz they know their meat - Porterhouse steak house proves it. And it's awesome that they let you choose the size of your steak - you could have petite, the big 16oz, or somewhere in the middle. On the entrèe side, I've only ever tried steaks but the menu boasts nice options. Salads are okayish. Caesar salad was just fine, but the Fresh Greens salad had an awesome dressing. I literally sipped it off the plate in the end. 🤤 Outside sitting place is nice in the current weather. Price is somewhat on the higher side but the quality is good, too. Highly recommended.
