Worst dinner ever with my family. Waiter had no idea about the dishes and set completely wrong expectations. Garlic soup was old bread soaked in fat. Had to return it. Inedible. All three ten and under kids were still hungry after two shared entrees and a main each. When asked for water, we were served the most expensive bottle rather than simply have our glasses filled (an option we later figured out). A glass of wine is barely filled with more than a shot glass. Tiny.
And that is just the culinary. The music was so loud we barely could hear each other and went home with a sore throat. Worse, everywhere in the back ground cheap boxing matches, tinder adds and tocktock were played on huge screens the whole Saturday (Mothers Day!) evening. Despite no one watching, our repeated request to turn it off in order to be able to have a quality family night out were ignored. For all of that horridly disappointing experience we paid $100. Never again.
I would suggest spending either much less if you like the cheap pub atmosphere and tastes, or look for a proper restaurant if you decide...
Read moreLocated in prime area of downtown Panama City, about 300 meters from the hotel Marriott Executive Apartment, this is no doubt one of few best restaurants in Panama City.
First, we ordered the bread, a small bowl with 2 little dipping dishes, excellent taste. Costs 3 US dollars.
For entrée, we picked “Parrilla de Mero Con Mariscos” (Grilled Grouper With Seafood, price tag: 44 US dollars) that waiter said was for 2 people, and it was enough for three of us ——adults with normal appetite. It was very very delicious.
There are couples things bear in mind: the restaurant provides valet parking, it closed on Sunday, and make reservation is highly recommended (local phone number: 263-8990). Also, the very thick menu is in Spanish only. And surprisingly, in Panama City, the English is not as...
Read moreI usually don’t leave bad reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Casa Alejandro’s Restaurant. My party of four African Americans was seated and left unattended for over 30 minutes. During this time, we watched other guests who arrived after us receive prompt service, including being offered water and appetizers. It wasn’t until we called attention to our situation that we were finally asked for our order.
I have visited multiple restaurants in Panama during my week-long stay, and this was by far the worst experience. This experience left us feeling overlooked and undervalued. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure all guests receive equal and...
