Tower House Suite — Hotel in Bella Vista

The young lady working in the morning shift at the front desk is not nice at all has a very negative attitude It did not only happen to me but I saw the same attitude with other customers. She thinks that she us doing everybody a favor.||||It has been the most disgusting experience in my life at a hotel. After the first night, I woke up with rash on by body but I did not pay attention to it because I thought it was the weather or something else. The second night it was even worse. It seems there were bugs or the sheets had not been washed properly.||||I decided to sleep in the small bed and the horrible sensation in my body being bitten did not happen anymore. After I checked out, I changed to another hotel and decided to go see a doctor and I had a rash on my body. He explained to me that it happens when the bedsheets are not clean or the mattress is filled with bugs.||||Aside from wasting my money on that disgusting hotel, I had to pay 50.00 in medicine and the doctor appointment. ||||I just cant believe this has happened to me and I am sure it has not happened other people and I was the unlucky one to deal with the unfriendly staff and go through hell with that itching. I was 3 weeks at this Hotel.. It is in a terrible street. Dirty smelly, all broken down.. The whole time ,6 days a week for 12 hours a day there is construction. I went to the pool but it was very unpleasant as there was constant drilling and noise. That is not the hotels fault but its still not good.|| The cleaning of the room was very good and efficient. The restaurant staff was very nice, but the food was boring and always the same and no variety I guess its ok if you stay a couple of days but to have this boring same breakfast for 3 weeks its not fun.|| I actually saw a rat coming out of the garage in front and going in a hole in the restaurant next door, as I was waiting outside for a taxi.|| The area around is quite shady, not good to walk around after dark, and it gets dark early in Panama The metro and buses are quite close. But there are no decent restaurants close. Even though they say there is. ||At the front desk most of the people did not speak a word of English. Only a couple. Looked online, chose because of price and location, however, we did not book online. We had read online that you could book a room with or without breakfast. When we walked up to reception to reserve our room we were told there was no option, breakfast must be included. The next morning we go to restaurant to get our breakfast and at first we were ignored. When server finally came to our table we were asked our room number and after reviewing the paper on his clipboard we were told that breakfast was NOT included. Server was downright rude. We immediately walked out to reception to just be told we didn't pay for breakfast. The cost of room was more than what we found online (it was $42 w/o breakfast, $50 w/breakfast, we paid $55 w/o breakfast). Construction right out front of hotel but there is construction everywhere in Congrejo. On a more positive note, we liked the pool and the girl in the restaurant/bar at night was friendly.
