I had one of the best, possibly the best meal in Peru so far here at Mistura. I made reservations via WhatsApp for dinner on a Monday night, but don’t think I really needed them. It was nice however, to request for a table by the water and for that request to be honored. Upon sitting down, we were served a complimentary appetizer of bread and a sort of tomato gazpacho which was excellent. We were also offered a compl sampler size of either lemonade or pisco sour. Of course we opted for the latter (see picture). It was a passion fruit pisco sour, which you can tell they served it with the real fruit and not the synthetic juice. It was absolutely delicious, but we also wanted to try their classic pisco sour, which didn’t disappoint either. It had a smoky taste to it, almost like a mezcal pisco if that exists.

On to the food, we got the Machu Picchu pizza and boy, I will tell you, this pizza rivals some of the pizzas I had while in Italy. The dough was so chewy and that might have been the best cheese I have ever had in a pizza. The grilled octopus was also divine. The sauces added an extra layer of flavor to it and really accentuated the taste of the octopus.

I can definitely see why this place has a 4.9 star average on Google. I am happy to bring it closer to a 5-star which is what it truly deserves. If you are in Aguas Calientes and are looking for some elevated Peruvian fare, come...

I ate here after a long hike on the Pumamarca Trail and 90 min ride on the Ollantaytambo train. My waiter, Dennis, was so nice and spoke perfect English (even though I need to practice my Spanish). The decor is so beautiful. I was sat by the window, the view was so nice. The music inside set the mood and atmosphere.

I ordered a Mistura Punch cocktail and the Grilled Trout entrée. As a surprise taster every guest (while I was there) was given a small pisco sour with passion fruit puree and a trout ceviche on bread appetizer.

Everything was AMAZING! The Grilled Trout was fresh. It came with an Asian sauce that was not salty. The quinoa was a great compliment because I was tired of rice and potatoes. The mini arugula salad was lightly dressed and just the right amount. If I could eat here again, I definitely would. However, I leave in the morning.

Do yourself a favor and try it for yourself.

Fantastic ! I was hungry and irritable ! I was greeted with warmth, interest and care. As soon as you enter you are attended to, seated, and given a passionfruit pisco sour, and chips and guacamole. The atmosphere is friendly, clean, modern, lively and there is an incredible view of the river.

I had a basil spritz which was complex and refreshing. My meal was a grilled plate with beef, alpaca, potatoes and a stuffed pepper - all which was incredible. It was no issue to add a small salad. While the food was fantastic, the service is the best part. Everyone smiles and shows genuine interest in you. They are working hard and always attentive. Incredible experience. A very special mention to Javier who really looked after me. I highly recommend and would come back if I wasn't here only for one night !!...
